They are all scammers. Give them the ol' military boot.

Yes. I tell them that my Dad retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air force (the truth!) and if they stop messaging right away then I know.

Probably 99% are scammers. If they post a pic in uniform, especially if it ISN'T a selfie, they are almost certainly fake.

It's an attempt by the scammers to take advantage of the current day extra sympathy for people in uniform, being pushed by some sections of society.

Check against the Department of Defense Scammers site or just assume if they say they are over 40 they are probably lying. If they have been on site less than six months and not posted in any forums you can pretty much bet they are scammers. Read their posts and their emails All military have to have a certain level of communications skills/literacy. All military have a Home base assignment and they are more than glad to get real mail there; unless of course they are married and messing around.

Oh and the majority of service members widowed that have kids take the life insurance on their spouses and get out rather than risk being RIF'd (laid off) after a minor injury or because the Headhunters will help them find civilian employment.

Playing along only helps them have your posts to add to their cut and paste file and practice their language skills. You are also more likely to tell them something they don't need to know and can use to hack your account.

Save your time and feelings for people who really deserve it. There are sites where you can find an active duty military pen pal that are legit; try your local VFW or American Legion or even VA Hospital.

Nothing wrong with dating a legit active duty person. My experience is they are great guys who will try their best to act not only like ambassadors for the military community but gentlemen if given half a chance.

Oh Thank you for saying this ^^^^flowers
I was posting the other day complaining but didn't want to give out too much detail.

I was hearing the same thing over & over & over... (4-9times a day) & some add that they have kids at home. WTF!? No way could there be that many dead women in my little state.
I'm 55 yrs old, I don't want kids, especially someone else's.
Sexist Scammers!!!!! rant

I removed my photo & took my personal info off, & within 4 hours, PEACE & SERENITY again. bigsmile

But if you are really looking, I wouldn't advice that. But for me, that's what I needed

We have a report system please use it to report all scammers. We ask that members use the system and not the forums for these matters. If you look to the bottom right of your e-mail you will see Report this user click on that and follow the instructions. Those reports go straight to Admin to check out...

We work really hard to keep the scammers out but they still slip in. Report Report any that you feel are scammers. Does not matter if they turn out not to be.....Better safe then sorry.

Never go off the site with those that request it within the first few e-mails. We have free e-mails here no reason too..

With that said this thread is being locked we do not allow members to post names on the forums nor call out other members by who they may be or not be. We ask that you report them so Admin can deal with them!
