out of curiosity how many of you have actually started a friendship/relationship by just saying hi to as many people as you search for on here?

Supposedly people have done that on here but I usually don't e-mail anyone so I wouldn't know lol.

posting, and eventually meeting. There have been alot just recently who have found each other... |

well I met one lady from here, who is local to me, but she wanted me to not only pay for her dinner but start paying her bills for her, and would not even offer to have a relationship with me. So I guess I don't count her....

i ask because the females located near by me i've never seen them on the forums and figured just to email them that eventually one might be interested and write back

Its hard to strike up a friendship with someone that is looking for a date, but i have made a couple of "internet" friends, never dated from here, be a little scared to meet the first time, i think after that probably would be fine

try hard to really show an interest in them. mention something from their profile or a related interest you have
|

Well, it depends on what you are looking for, a friend or a potential lover. It would look silly if you e-mail someone and didn’t even read their profile to see if they are attached or have a diff preference.
You have to have an idea then give it a go…make it simple and tell that person your interest in them and see if they will reply….if they don’t, don’t whine, keep going |

i've got one friend on here that i made that way...he's awesome and we banter back and forth daily. it really does work.
