Wait until you have a child or grandchild comes home in tears because some kid repeats this kind of bad taste humor. ..ohh..come on now she knows I'm joking besides she's too big for the little bus..age wise that is ... ..and I am aware that some people have special needs children.....and may find my little jab at the o p in poor taste...but if I was to censor everything I said because it might offend a particular group of people...

I like giving compliments because I only say what I really mean. I absolutely detest hearing them...tend to irritate the crap out of me and tick me off

I think many ppl do know they're special, but what does that mean really until someone else sees it too and tells you so? Everyone needs some recognition and acknowledgement of who they are, and it's usually ppl that love us that give us that. Friends, family, a lover. And there's certain things we don't reveal to everyone, just our lover. So he/she would compliment on those special things that no one else knows about you... I've lived with someone who never complimented, only mentioned the things he didn't like. I still felt special, good etc. But it doesn't mean jack when your loved one doesn't seem to notice, or does notice but chooses to never mention them. You go on feeling special, but it hurts like he\|\| ... So I think it's all about the acknowledgement

Do we need compliments to feel us good? Do people always mean what they say? Do people always say what they mean? I don't think so. The world is full of liars, hypocrites, crooks and two faced people.

don't really need them. like you, i don't think i am very good at accepting them, but idon't try to hurt anyone over them either. well, unless they were asking for it.

I've never considered myself to be special. Until I met someone I considered to be very special. Truth. That is just sad... You were special long before we came into each others lives. People all have something very special about them.. Sometimes it is harder to see in some than others but there is a precious light in each person if we just stop and see it.
