Im still new and I drop by here now and again and read the forums. I also have mail settings. I get these matches with numbers by the Match. Ive read about Yes No Maybe. It seems to want to be continuous when answering the Match and the numbers beside the Match doesnt go down/disappear. It seems to grow but doesnt go down no matter how i answer. Other than that I think Ive learned the nuances (so far). Any insight about the Match issue? Thanks.

once you click yes or maybe, the other person needs to do the same in order for the match to be complete...

people are saying yes to you that you haven't matched with yet...

as far as the number going down, it won't at the moment, i think they are working on that issue...

Any insight about the Match issue?

Match features don't really matter?

There is no real anything, except maybe propaganda from a site based on really flawed methods of measurement and reporting, to show that "matches" are any more successful than just randomly emailing people on the site?

And with online dating sites, that's really the only thing that matters?
Your inbox? Emailing, and receiving mail?

Matches, who viewed, compatibility tests, they're just a means dating sites use to try and make you feel like you are doing something, that there is progress and hope, so you feel you are getting something, so will stick around?

The easiest method to using online dating sites is to ignore all the smoke and mirrors and just look at a profile, figure out what you want to say (as opposed to what they want to hear, or what you think will get them to do something), then email it, and if they don't respond go to the next profile, but if they do respond then think about what else you want to say, and keep doing that until you want to get off the internet and say and do stuff?
