The visible And the unseen
Riddling my body
My psyche
Healed over with time and patience
So many steps taken

Sometimes failing
But always finding my way
No more shiny blades
Glittering in the light
No more blood pouring from skin
No more lies and excuses
No more hiding the cuts

You tell me now
How proud you are
That I am healed
That you see I am whole
Never understanding why I did
But now knowing I won't
Telling me how I have grown

****This was written for my Dad, after a conversation we had yesterday,with him telling me how proud he is of me of how far I have come, I dedicate this to him , for never giving up on me, for not walking away when most would have and did, for loving me despite the fact I was so messed up, for loving me even when I didn't love myself. I love you Dad****
