Religious beliefs, can be a peculiar thang. Wasn't all that long ago, that a stewardess, acting under the guise of the 'white anglo saxon protestant' mentality, threw a woman off a southworst airlines plane, for being "too scantily clad". Mid air?   Whilst the plane was still " docked" at the boarding gate. |

Wow.. Why do people complicate everything?  1- She took the job, knowing the conditions. If she did not (which no one will believe), Oh well... too bad. 2- Religious institutions are not nor should they be subject to PC. 3- Faith or religion (2 different things), need never & should never change to make people 'comfortable' with themselves. 4- Freedom of Religion & Freedom FROM religion are two different things. This case reminds me of the ones where homosexuals were trying to sue ' The Boy Scouts ' Which is a religious (Christian) organization. Or the homosexuals( that TARGET), Christian bakers for 'Gay Wedding' cake. Yea..okay,...ask some Muslim men to hire or keep & unwed mother employed * Without stoning her*. Ask Muslim men to make homosexuals a wedding cake. Or even SPEAK to a homosexual. * Without throwing him off a cliff - Sharia Law *  wow, i'm NOT TALKING ABOUT LEGAL ASPECTS, for the fourth time... i'm talking about church morals, as in helping, not destroying, people families... everything about this is wrong, IMO... do you want to go to a church that fires an unwed, pregnant mother? just how the hell is that helping her? that goes against EVERYTHING i've been taught the church was for... and saying this was teach kids good morals??? |

The airline has the right to remove people. It is a business. The fricken liberal media... turned it into a religious issue. . A story about 'Society now having a total lack of decorum, protocol , morality & manners' wouldn't sell. But blaming, Jews, Christians, & All Catholics... does. What would happen IF the airlines started treating women in Muslim garb ( too much clothes... suspicious) like everyone else? More screaming..... of religious & maybe racial discrimination & profiling * But that is PC & therefore okay * This is just another case of AN ADULT TEMPER TANTRUM. " I'm not following the rules, you upset me by not letting me have my way, you are persecuting me" |

I did get to read this... My only thought is that humans have worshipped something since they could breathe. The sun ..the moon ..the stars Interestingly enough... The 3 greatest mass murderers of all time were all religion haters.. Hitler... Stalin.. Mao.. You can throw in Pol Pot for good measure.. he only killed a few million though... I equate blaming religion for stupidity or criminality to blaming weapons for people being shot.. Humans have a choice... some make the right ones some make the wrong ones.. |

And this woman was NOT turned away by the Roman Catholic CHURCH, she was fired from a teaching job... teaching children what ever.. being Catholic means. Which in their view, she is a bad example. And she must have consequences, just like ANY decent parent would give their children. This is NOT a public school. They have to answer to the parents that PAY for there children to have a RELIGIOUS upbringing & to set examples. * As well as having to answering to whatever Catholic authority oversees the school * |

Jesus was convicted by Pontius Pilate with the blessing of Jewish leaders who saw him as a political threat. Basically, his own people put him to death. So to me, because of this, there is NO HONOR in any religious circles, none, it's still all about power and control over others. The overly religious zealots need to govern themselves better... because in the end, the roots of their beliefs is as stained (if not more) than Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot put together. For those who don't know the character/ personality of this ' so called ' Catholic School Teacher...
Google- Montana teacher fired for being pregnant. She is gay & had in vitro fertilization. Which is intentional. She is NOT some neive 15 yrs old girl cast into the street by the Pope. She just can't read... & has a multitude of political agendas & perhaps some undiagnosed psych issues... or the Holy Water missed her head.

She just can't read... & has a multitude of political agendas & perhaps some undiagnosed psych issues... or the Holy Water missed her head. oh, ok, that makes a good reason to fire someone that's about to give birth... religion is just great, make a single mother and her child fight to live because they(the church) doesn't agree with her lifestyle... very godlike, sounds just like a god i would want to worship... and, on top of that, they teach children it's ok to do this to a person because they don't think like you... catholic church is worse than islam... they both force you to believe what they want you to believe, not what you would consider right... |

Psst moe .. The thread about abortion and church views on new life comes to mind .. How can the religious be for saving life in the womb from rape yet they shun someone who is pregnant . No employment contract can legally specify that a woman not get pregnant .. That is absurd .and in violation of human rights . thank you, you understand the hypocrisy of organized religion...
