Fred...I am not sure where you were in the states but most (if not all) people I know are welcoming of others, as long ad they are here legally. Sorry you had a bad experience. I am sure every country had those that aren't welcoming of foreigners. I think the world has painted this myth (that people still believe) that it's a paradise and the streets are paved with gold. It's a great country but not perfect. We have some beautiful places and some ugly places We really aren't that different than any where else There's good and bad everywhere for sure and I don't mean to offend the good people of the USA. I'm just saying that nowadays, with everything going on in the world and our broken society, it is advisable to stay home. Good. Then don't offend us. We don't take kindly to U.S.A. bashing here. Sick and tired of it. WE ARE THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!

1~Because it is boring as hell out here. 2~ The anger/resentment over the America bashing still exists. Because the bashing still exists. 3~ Some are more honest & straight forward than others. I get you want to change your life but it's asking a lot from a stranger. It doesn't make anyone an egotist. It's common sense. You mentioned Albania? Why not go to England or France? It's closer and you didn't get busted there Without proper paper work, you would be here illegally and we already have that problem. Errr excuse me Miss Yellow rose. I can feel your frustration at not being allowed into America, and yes if you work hard here your life can me much better then other places. We do need to overhaul our immigration policy but I think you are maybe leaving a little part of your story out, why did you have no papers? why did they single you out, and why are you so angry? The last time I checked people where sneaking into this country not out of it. Regardless I wish you the best of luck.

Ok to be honest I am not an American. You needed to go through the right channels to get permission to get into any country. I can understand why countries are tightening up who gets in. You only need to look in the media. People killing others for what? I am disgusted in that. Terrorist has to stop. I am not saying you are. I am saying yes be more careful who gets in. Another countries need to look after their own people before taking on others. Sorry if I sounds hard but it's what I think and believe.

Where did ardit12 go???? He started this thread then disappeared. Someone mentioned he started another one. Must not have liked what he heard. I am from Australia and we have issues as well with illegal immigrants. They pay all their money and risk their families lives in terrible boats that end up sinking or our water security has to go and try and save them. Anyway don't really want to go there as very political. I actually just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading the entire post and thread. Sometimes the thread moved slightly in another direction but that is okay. People enjoy having their voice heard. Sometimes I laughed a lot, yes you guys and gals are funny, sometimes I pondered and sometimes thought provoking. Well done everyone.
