Two points on this that actually provide an answer!
One: If there was a chicken, there was an egg... if there was an egg, there was a chicken. They came at the same time. Two: (better and my favorite idea I have come up with on this one) The egg. There were many other species that laid eggs before the chicken. Nobody ever specified this had to be a chicken egg. Frogs, many reptiles and birds, in fact, lay eggs and at least supposedly existed prior to chickens. Odds are, the egg has been being laid long before the chicken was around. |

 The question is, did the cell come before the egg? Who knows, can't say, maybe the first cell was an egg. I'd agree though, cells probably came before eggs. And please, no stupid cell phone comments!

if you believe in true evolution...the egg came first. It was laid by an alligator, then a bolt of lightning struck it...it hatched and out came a chicken..and the same thing happened to another alligator egg at the same time and the other hatched into a rooster...hence...more eggs
