This was written for a very special friend of mine he and a few others have really been a huge help when fear and hopelessness takes over hes a sweet guy who deserves nothing less than the best it kills me to know hes all alone but whoever catchs his eye will be the luckiest lady alive...he really truly is one-of-a-kind



Hopelessness lurking
Just around the corner
The jagged rocks at the bottom
Clearly visible now
He extended his hand in friendship
If ever I should need it
Telling myself I could do it alone
The gesture was brushed off
How hard can this be?
Soon the tiny bit of light
Left in this soul burnt out
Leaving me panic- stricken
And confused
Where do I turn?
Suddenly his words ran through my mind
There was only one thing left to do
He has been the most amazing friend
A kind gentle warm listener
With the ability to make me smile
If only for a moment
No longer does this world feel
So cold and brutal
Such a special person deserves so much
Yet all I have to offer is my friendship
And an ear to listen
When he needs one the most
It saddens me to know he's all alone
Because he is a very special man
Who deserves nothing less
Than the world
