This happens to guys as well. I've had a couple African women send messages. When you reply, the conversation takes about 5 minutes to get to the point where she wants to come and visit so she can move in with you and be the girlfriend.

Yeah, that won't be happening. Kind of a long commute from Canada for dinner and a movie.

Once a "woman" claimed to be living in a rather small community in northeastern Oklahoma.
Apparently, "she" didn't expect anyone here to actually know anything about that community.
Well, I did, and so I asked her a few questions about the community.
Shortly afterwards, she changed her location to a large city in California.

I don't know why you even bother to stress yourself out with the details of profiles that are not in your own country.

i've been reporting them as scammers... if they give you a phone # and want to text, google the number and it will tell you if it's a landline or a cell phone... landline means liar...

There's a really easy way to get around this and even harness the full potential of the power of an online profile.

Print out business cards.
Like a realtor.
Put a little thumbnail picture on it.

Use your online dating site profile as your contact info.

Then just start mailing them out, or leaving them on the doors, of random houses within the area you are willing to date.

Or give them to people you find attractive when you leave your house and do things.
Or hang outside the mens restroom at a popular club and slip them into peoples pockets.

There you go.

why lie?i hate lies.

Nothing matters until you meet.
Lying online shouldn't elicit an emotional reaction of any degree.
Just for arguments sake let's say they were local AND not African scammers.
I can guarantee you that 99.9999999999999% of them are going to be rejected by you, reject you, not show up to a meeting, disappear right before hand.

Online, with online dating, there is really no difference between someone lying about their location and telling the truth about a drug habit.

It just doesn't matter until you start meeting offline.
Until then a person and a profile is really no different than a forum topic.
Reacting emotionally to either is ultimately pointless unless your sole purpose to coming online, dating, or participating in forums is your own selfish emotional gratification.

If that's the case, then you are getting what you really want.
