Reading from 1 - 8, I thought I was a Type A personality but then I got to 9 and 10 (people pleaser) and I realized I'm safe. Whew!!! People pleaser???

This one goes out to anyone who has ever been called "high strung."
It can be hard to explain the reality of being Type A to someone who just doesn't understand what the fuss is about. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, we're going to show rather than tell. Below, 10 images perfectly capture all things satisfying and irritating about being a Type A.

1. This insanely irksome notification.

There are two types of people in this world: Those who have a cleared inbox or the ones who have 17,000 unread emails. Type As are the former.

2. This perfect portrait of a college textbook.

It’s always better to study with different colors. What I did on my PDF and DDS book is that I extracted the important informations and made questions out of them and wrote them into the sticky notes so whenever I’m going to review, I don’t have to read everything but just try to answer the questions I made instead.

There's no such thing as too many notes -- or too many highlighters, for that matter.

3. This dreadful time when we have to be somewhere at noon.

Three minutes late is still late.

4. This deeply upsetting wait.

Type As loathe feeling like they're wasting time because it interrupts their efficiency. Therefore, long lines are incredibly agonizing.

5. This embarrassingly accurate post-game reaction.

Our competitive nature sometimes gets the best of us. If you're not first, you're last.

6. This permanent fixture from our childhood bedroom.

Type As are incredibly goal-oriented and see a project (or even just a fro-yo date) through until the very end. One way to help with those ambitions? Visualize them.

7. This extensive to-do list.

The satisfying feeling that comes with checking off a completed task.

8. This hyperorganized desk space.

A messy desk encourages a creative mind, but an organized desk helps us get work done.

9. This nervous habit.

We know it's annoying, but we just can't help but do it anyway. Habits like hair twirling (guilty) and nail biting are common for people who identify as Type A, according to cardiologist and personality researcher Meyer Friedman.

10. Finally, this all-too-real statement.

We want to satisfy everyone -- including ourselves -- in everything that we do. Unfortunately, like with so many of our other characteristics, we just can't help ourselves. Since we can't fight who we are, we may as well embrace being Type A. After all, someone has to be the Monica Geller of the friend group.
