What's the best date you've ever been on?

Why, this one, of course. It just goes on and on and the surprises never end.

Must've been August 17, 1985.

As I have no recollection of what happened on that day,
it must've been really, really good.

Ha fantastic was there booze involved

I quit drinking when I turned 21.

when I first got divorced couple years back I had some really lousy dates..like the first five first dates back in the dating pool

ugh..so I gave up for awhile but met someone
hell of a guy ..on here actually
an Italian raised in New York and transplanted in Texas
we must have spent three months talking to each other
I mean texting and he would call every night and we would have these conversations about everything and anything that would last for hours

it was fantastic..anyhow we made plans to meet finally
his son lived in Chicago only four hours from me
He flew up and booked a hotel room very posh one at that
his son is a chef at a five star downtown chicago restaurant
so we were the guests of the chef and he created out dinner

I am not even sure of half of what I tried that night
very upscale and gourmet
then outside for a nice glass of wine and walk downtown
I got to see the city all lit up night

after our weekend in chicago
I flew down to Texas with him and spent the week in his home
he had to work during the days but gave me the keys to a car
for my use and keys to his house and to the pool
I met both his children
he came home each night and cooked for me
wonderful Italian dishes that he grew up making


then we got in a horrible fight about the whole distance thing
the fact that I had a minor child and would not even contemplate leaving the state of Michigan
we both got angry
I left the next morning and flew back to chicago
drove home in a temper

we have not spoken since
THAT one was by far the best one
and that includes my college days of long ago
dating my now ex husband
and twenty years of marriage

The best date I was ever on included a cactus and the ER.

You're not suppose to put a cactus 'there'.

Going to church

Oh my next date is goona rule! I have it all planned out. Gonna dress up as our favorite super hero characters, rent a limo, drive around town and pick up strangers who wanna ride in the limo and party with two people dressed up as super heroes....then we shall seek out danger and save a cat in a tree while our new drunken friends in the limo watch on....do an interview with the local news on how we saved that cat and how life is good...and then have the news crew take shots with us in the limo....then drive around some more and drop off our new drunken friends in places they have never been....leave....have them scared shitless....then come back and save them (we are still super heroes)....news crew comes back and talks about our good deeds.....shots......and then it's off to waffle house for a three AM breakfast.
