Not this site or any site.
If you know what to look for & follow your instincts over desires & wants, then it is quite simple. Annoying sometimes, but simple. |

you just gotta get good at spotting those red flags and cutting it quick

Curious to know how many people have been catfished on this site? Would that be an Earth-type catfish or a Melmacian type? This is the Melmacian type: |

Catfishing only happens if you let it happen. After a few emails it's time for a phone conversation & that's where things will reveal themselves. Even if the person who contacted you is from another country, there is no excuse for not speaking to a live human. Time zones etc...all can be worked out to schedule a 10 minute phone call.
Email is just that: not a connection & not a relationship. If it was otherwise the human race would start to decline as NOONE would ever meet in person for reproduction LOL! If you are really looking for a emotional connection with someone of the opposite sex for a long term relationship: it will include real sex with their actual body next to your body & that's definitely not possible over he internet. Be smart...words are not what love is: actions are & actions take place in person. Too many people (unfortunately mostly women) are living in what I call the "X-Files" fantasy: "I want to believe"... Your life only comes around once - don't waste it. |

Curious to know how many people have been catfished on this site? I just arrived from 2 'Pay For Single' membership clubs and it happens over there too!!! Scammers are everywhere; you just have to be proactive and be cautious...if you don't have a 'dummy email' account established yet then get one set up and leave it just for your new single people to contact you with! It's the safe thing to do! |

it's kinda like the stripper that always has a sob story for why she ended up doing this with her life
and if she only had enough money she would quit this and .... a. find a nice guy settle down b get her child back from protective services c go back to school or move out of this big bad city if anyone for any reason hits you up with some BS story and asks you for money? run man run |

Most recently I got hit up by an account that started off well enough.
First email said "Hello". Second email said "What are your hobbies?" Third email said, "I realize we just met, but I feel like I know you and can trust you. My mother is sick, dying of cancer, and I just need $3,000 for her surgery. I hate to ask, but you seem like a nice person, so could I have just $950 from you? This is totally true and legit and my life is so hard because of it!" And all of this done with sub-par spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. It may just be really snobby of me, but these kinds of errors are the first things that set off warning bells in my head. |
