Why do people lie???

I mean what could they possibly gain from lying?

Sooner or later they get caught...

i don't know..it gives me a headache trying to think of more lies to cover up the first one...lol...i always smile when i'm lying anyway so everyone knows

Embellishing is just that, as well..

If my partner asked if he looked fat and had weight issues, I would be honest, and say, "health-wise, for your own health, a few pounds gone, and a little more exercise, could only benefit you."

Rude? How? By being honest? Truthful...any lie is a lie...any omission to the truth is a lie...it's deception intentionally.

If I ask does my butt look big in this? Its cause I can't see it, (being behind me and all), and I want to know....not some sugar coated saccarine version...I want the "nope looks the same as always", or the "OMG, is that a butt? I thought it was a new continent!!! It's HUUUUUUGE !!!".

as jamie said,some times we pretty much HAVE to lie.well when it comes to giving our opinions on that question "does this make me look fat?".besides why do women ask that?it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about your looks,it's what you think that matters!

I lie to my bike all the time. I tell her she is my favorite because she's so fast and sweet lookin, when the big fella is more comfortable. So do I feel guilt? Well hell no!

yeah but to most the now is more important then to the sooner or the later.

she caught me one once, saw me sneakin out with the other bike and I almost couldn't get her started after that but she gave in.

look the world isn't perfect.people are going to lie about big things and little "white lies". it;s up to us if we want to make a big deal over it or not. we can sit and ponder why...but that is nto goingto solve anything.

If a person comes on dating sites and say they are single and looking for love and they are married or attached, not that is not nice.
