We all have sexual needs. Does sexting satisfy the need in a LDR. I think it pacifies the need, but it also helps you to be creative and bring newness to the sexual part of the relationship, so that the play acting helps you to perform better when you are physically together. I think it is certainly a way to build sexuality in each other more so than if you were trying to satisfy your needs on your own.

Well I am in a LDR and I am not sure if I know what sexting is dang...
So I guess I don't do it...

Well I am in a LDR and I am not sure if I know what sexting dang... So I guess I don't do it... what used to be called cyber sex. Now with apps like skype, yahoo and facebook where video and audio are available, I guess that still would be called cyber-sex vs. sexting. |

Been there and done that, sometimes I think it can create unrealistic expectations in person. After a few LDR's I can say with the utmost certainty "It's not REAL until you meet". Since I'm no longer willing to commit to an LDR, sexting isn't something I feel the need to do.

Yes...its the most effective way to develop intimacy and closeness in a new relationship....
when you do get together, your visits are all the more exciting cause you already know each other..... and when the time comes to be apart again it makes future cyber sex even more fun..... Now if you don't mind....I gotta make a call....

Sexting.....LOL! At first I thought it was a spelling error....something mistook their T for an S!
Anyway, it would require a person to be really really comfortable with someone they have never met to go into this stage. And being able to click from the initial and gradually have the relationship develop into intimacy of this level. Yes.... it would help, but it is still acting out on imagination and fantasies, until you can make it physically real. |
