=== The Tendency Exists ( I Gather Leaves Upon my Breast ) The tendency exists here in this life, to apportion me my only meaningful emotion, In the notion that all solemn poets were born to dance in the wilderness, I pick up my feet and dance on leaves, on a forest floor, stirred by this commotion, bred of my need to echo and to thus share in this cool sense of my worthiness, The forest thick grows loud with the remaining songs of day - at it's closing, And as the graying darkness fills the inner body of this natural wealth, I stand here alone with my friends the trees - in a world now so much more imposing, Reaching out to the Gods of Night, crying out in prayer, for their strength and their stealth, The blanketing darkness surrounds me now, near the fire I've struck, in the bold of night, Silence creeps across me here, where the landscape pierces me, pounding in my ears, Telling me I must now endure it's unending meanings, beyond fear, beyond sight, To accept my apportionment spread widely across the more voluminous of my years. So then must I gather leaves upon my breast, lay downward upon the ground - and rest. Thom Douglas Carlisle ( Irish Tommy Moran ) - Ireland === |

Mo Honey,
Thank ye for sharing in this piece with me along with those others who've peered in to read and then to possibly assess whether, " The Tendency Exists ( I Gather Leaves Upon my Breast ) " has any real workable, visual and mental value. Myself? I enjoyed formulating this piece and then, toward that end, putting my pen to parchment. It was fun. Thanks, Mo. I appreciate ye, tommo / Ireland |
