already know it but thanks for the info morena. it's not the same if
it's homegrown but i don't think people realize what they do to the
commercialized shit, especially after a bad growing season.

I work with the homeless Every day ppl i have been working with either
die or get hurt cause of booze i have watched ppls brains just wash away
cause of booze. i think it should be the other way around. and as for
doing some research i have and the majority of cases i have seen there
where other drugs envolved. yes i have done research into the lasting
effects yes it does kill brain cells, so does almost every breath we
take. Have you seen one of the more resent studys done by the univeristy
of Cali that shows it is not the pot that is killing the brain cells but
rather the lack of oxygen to the brain.

Yes i have known about the additves ppl are adding to the main stream
pot, i grow my own i have medical!

the lack of oxygen is part of the high though, THC doesn't just alter
the chemicals in your brain it cuts off the oxygen to the cells. alot of
drugs work through oxygen deprivation to achieve the high.

THC is somthing found naturaly in the brain in very small amounts. there
have been many studies done here in my homtown that show pot it's self
really has no major efects on the brain so long as no cheimicals are
added to the plant while growing or after the harvest. Personaly I
belive God gave use the plant to use, i do not however know if we are
using it correctly. I know that making tea or cooking with it can give
you the same effects, somtimes stronger.

Well we have medical here as well. The west coast has pretty much said
that they want it legalized from what I hear that may be wrong or right
not really sure.

if it's gonna be legalized, why all the questions about a growers
permit? We can already MAKE our own beer and wine legally, why even
bother with a permit that says you can cultivate a perfectly natural
plant? The gov't can still make it unprofitable for the growers to grow
much more than they need for personal use.
If we use J's number of $10/pack of joints, assuming they are roughly
the same size as a cigarette, yer lookin at approx 20-25 grams of weed
for 10 bucks. An ounce is 28 grams and the cheapest I've found an ounce
is $175. Even we go half the amount of weed in a pack it still works out
to a buck a gram. No grower will be able to touch those prices. And a
lot of ppl can't be bothered taking the time or have the know how to
properly care for a small crop.
The gov't could rake in a shit load of cash and kill the "commercial"
growers in one move.

By the way, they did a bunch of brain scans of ppl on different drugs to
see what parts of the brain were affected. Ironically even tho one is a
stimulant and one is a depressant, cocaine and alcohol affected the
EXACT same centres of the brain.

I also suffer from a particular disorder and find that pot helps to
control it. I've talked to my doctor about it cuz the medication she was
giving me wasn't helping at all, and in some cases made things worse.
She told me that if pot was helping than to go right ahead cuz I'd be on
medication long-term and pot was safer for me than any pharmaceutical
she could prescribe. This was BEFORE Canada decriminalized simple
possession.
Pot has had to put up with a lot of bullshit propaganda in the US.
Personally, I think the US should set up a bongs for guns program.
Bush called pot the 'single biggest threat to the US'. Guess he forgot
about terrorism, crack, meth, crime, etc...
If you look at health effects and long term use, pot is FAR less
harmful then cigarettes OR alcohol. If I drank like I toked for the last
25 years my liver and kidneys would be shot to hell by now.
Nor is it a gateway drug. There is no such thing. And if one wants to
argue that fact then quite simply booze and smokes are gateway drugs
too, cuz I guarantee you, more ppl that tried pot, tried alcohol and
cigs first.
The only way it could be considered a "gateway drug" is because of
the methods required to buy it. Generally speaking, the person you get
yer pot from has access to other drugs, and if they consider themselves
to be a "business person" in the drug market, then they'd prefer to get
you addicted to one of the more profitable drugs they carry.

it depends on who you know for the price. if you were a major grower you
couldn't touch that price but if you were only growing for yourself and
family then it wouldn't cost you much at all. i've seen OZ's for $100
but again, the potency for that price depends on who you know. the only
reason i like the permit idea is as a stepping stone because i agree
with you on the stigma that pot holds with alot of peop[le and if it
were legalized there would be serious restrictions in place at first,
the government wouldn't do it any other way. as usual i agree with you
animal, pot isn't as much of threat as people think. everything in life
has negative aspects and even though i don't smoke anymore it wasn't
because of the dangers, it was a personal choice.

are right there is no bad season here. I have that beautiful medical
card that says i can have upto three budding plants and three dromant!

my reasons are medical,as well as recreational........M.
