Topic: woman on freedom and her choice... Do we agree? | |

My body, my mind, my choice
To wear the clothes I like; even if my spirit roams naked My choice; to be a size 0 or a size 15 They don’t have a size for my spirit, and never will To use cotton and silk to trap my soul is to believe that you can halt the expansion of the universe Or capture sunlight in the palm of your hand Your mind is caged, let it free My body is not Let it be My choice To marry, or not to marry To have sex before marriage, to have sex out of marriage, or to not have sex My choice To love temporarily, or to lust forever My choice To love a man, or a woman, or both Remember; you are my choice, I’m not your privilege The bindi on my forehead, the ring on my finger, adding your surname to mine, they’re all ornaments and can be replaced My love for you cannot, so treasure that My choice; to come home when I want Don’t be upset if I come home at 4am Don’t be fooled if I come home at 6pm, My choice; to have your baby or not To pick you from 7 billion choices or not So don’t get cocky My pleasure might be your pain My songs, your noise My order, your anarchy Your sins, my virtues My choices are like my fingerprints They make me unique I am the tree of the forest I am the snowflake not the snowfall You are the snowflake Wake up Get out of the **** storm I choose to empathise Or to be indifferent I choose to be different I am the universe Infinite in every direction This is my choice |

This is not me. this is the voice of 99 women from the world in a viral video on youtube. they want to prove something, I agree partially. The lead woman is Dipika padukone- lead actress from Indian films This was in a video that Dipika Padukone spoke these words. And yes it is a woman's choice what she chooses to do with her body until the government steps in and keeps her from making her own choices... It is basically saying all women should be able to choose what they do with their bodies as well as what choices they make in life... |

The lead woman is Dipika padukone- lead actress from Indian films Yes.. I heard this before. And I agree. But those women are not trying to 'prove' something. They are saying something. Like, wanting 'human rights', & maybe eventually, women's rights. I know many countries, like India have a long way to go. And my heart goes out to them where ever they may be. |

Living in a society is living networked. You are bound by certain social practices of the land.
I agree social norms change by showing regrets and revenges only But few comments- extramarital...sex, marry with women looks so loud. Such rebellionism make things hard for women |

I agree totally. I'm trying to leave my own morality & religion & culture OUT of it... And thinking for the greater good of women globally. It was a few countries that worked in this project. Am I correct? Try to image what it had been like for centuries for women to see & live with men... Having extramarital affairs & sleeping with men. And they could not say or do nothing about it... Because it was socially, religiously unacceptable or legally impossible to stop it or to get away from these men. They had NO voice. But they have a voice now... |

Agreed. Time has changed. But you see who in this world does not have problems, exploitation, injustice. Men are also bearing this. |

SassyEuro Agreed. Time has changed. But you see who in this world does not have problems, exploitation, injustice. Men are also bearing this. I agree. The whole world is troubled & some places turmoil. Every action has a reaction. But so does inaction. And now more men ( in India & other countries), will be confused. And more men will question there role & place in the family & society. Some unfortunately will question their 'manhood' with the changes. Hopefully.. Most people will see that men will always be men & women will always be women.. We just need to treat each other with respect. |

You have a very strong sense of logic and in depth understanding of the issues... pl keep it up. But i am still restless. Probably i am not able to put my feel in words. I agree there r problems for women...which must be eradicated.... But THE WAY in which some times these problems are put and rights are demanded, i feel is too loud. we see good changes are happening. And these changes are not only due to revolt by women only. Many men had been instrumental in that process. there should not be fight...the two should work together for the well being of life. good day |
