He is an admin who will look into it.

Someone tried to scam me

It is that way for all of us. Someone tries to scam me 5 times a day on this site.. Almost as if they are coming out of the woodwork.
There are scammers on all sites actually.
The most any of us can do is follow our instincts, know the signs & report them.
I hope this helps.

Sorry to go slightly off topic but i posted this question elsewhere and didn't get a reply. I was wondering how people actually try and scam you because i was talking to a woman in Nigeria and had my doubts about her authenticity, but couldn't really imagine how someone could make money from another mingle user other than by just asking them to send some!

P.S. I apologize for being vulgar Wendie760, but i can see why someone would want to steal your pictures: that cleavage... wow!

That is exactly what they do, they ask you for it, usually off-site.
There is a report system in place, upper right on every profile there is a 'Report This User' link.

If you stay onsite, we can help, if you do not, we cannot :-)

scammers are very crafty and employ all kinds of tactics that are difficult to describe and if outlined here, could be used by other less crafty scammers once they are shown how. you'll be fine by using your best judgement. do not give your mother's maiden name, name of your first pet, etc. try not to give much personal information in general. if it sounds too good to be true, the fine people on this site would be glad to investigate anyone you report

to avoid being vulgar one could say that wendie's picture is a catalyst for a game of five on one

enjoy mingling

Thanks for your replies. Btw, i can't help noticing you guys have clocked-up more than 50,000 posts between you - that's quite a lot!

more than half of those posts were a conversation we once had together that went something like...

her: i kinda like krupalope
me: really?
her: really
me: really?
her: really
me: really?
her: really
me: really?

i'm sure you get the gist

There is a lot of ppl like that on here.they talk to you for a couple of days then ask for you to send them money.just block and ignore them. There is no use in reporting them because they just make new profiles and try again.

That's not necessarily true, because we may ban the account faster when reported. Moreover, that will force them to waste more time making a new account (and email account). Finally, we ban an IP address when it's clear that it's only used by scammers. We greatly appreciate members that take the extra few seconds to report such accounts.
