If I said you were ugly - I am sure it would NOT be fine. You know that you are not ugly and you are using this thread as a way to meet new ppl.

Looks matter - yes - each of us are attracted to different things - attraction is a very personal thing. You could be the best looking man to one person and another may find you just ordinary looking.
But you are right it is the point we usually start at - but really you can only do the best you can with what you have.

It is silly to say that looks do not matter at all.
