libs see it as humor, others see it as lies and the low info's don't see it at all.

I used to like jon stewart but after watching him for a while I wondered to myself, if he cares so much why is he just trying to make a big joke about everything instead of trying to actually change it. I agree he speaks his mind for the most part, but I feel like hes just another puppet trying to make laughter out of something far more serious. like hes just trying to normalize government wrongdoing conditioning us to think its ok that our gov. repeatedly breaks the laws. same with Colbert. these guys obviously have a lot of fans and influence, if they really cared why would they only want to make a big joke of it instead of rallying people together to make changes. if I was ever famous enough to get on tv with a show about politics, I wouldn't constantly make it about being funny, I would use that influence to tell people that they really need to wake up and that its not a laughing matter. theres nothing funny about what our gov. is doing. but I guess I shouldn't be so quick as to blame him, as im sure hes probably told what he can and cant say on his show being that government has a stranglehold on media.

Maybe the most sobering look is at the announced moment of Zen...
And it's always at the end of the broadcast. |

he's better than Bill Maher. Maher is a pretentious intellect. Jon doesn't pander his opinion. |

You ever watch the Lehrer Report or PBS Newshour or Meet the Press? I haven't watched in ages but I remember some interesting and intelligent discussions about world events. |
