“Spiders Spell”

Aw he is but a spider fast at work.
He watches each move and gives a quick smirk.
And soon you will see.
In his web you will be.
With you he will play.
For a while you will get to stay.
Soon another will catch his eye.
And leave you with a sigh.
Off he will go to catch his prey.
As you sit back and survey.
This web he weaves with expertise.
Within it he will seize.
And capture your mind.
Like a gentle wind.
He will stroke your self esteem.
Put you in a trance as if a dream.
He will have you memorized.
As you look through eyes that are glazed.
In the distance you hear the rhythm of a drum.
Around you he spins a silk web as you succumb.
As if time has suddenly stood still.
Within this spell he weaves with skill.
No longer can you think.
He has wrapped you in a cocoon of mink.
That makes you feel all warm and secure.
You hear his voice as he does assure.
You are all he ever wanted.
You’re the one in his dreams that has haunted.
With you he no longer will need.
Another, as he weaves his silk with speed.
Lost in time he finishes his work of art.
Softly you hear you’ll remain within my heart.
Slowly you begin to doze.
You hear him say you’re as sweet and soft as a rose.
Soon this web of silk will glisten in the sun.
The spider replaces the strands of silk one by one.
In the corner he sits and admires as you hear him say.
