Words pondered and written as if formed inside the rain,
As if devised, caught up in the fracturing of a storm,
Born, shorn, exalted in their raucous refrain,
Thrown out to be consumed and graciously reborn,

Bred of all that is relevant against the backdrop of night,
These thick, pale parchment leaves regale, both bound and grand,
With unending storms and stories formed in the expanse of moonlight,
Like that of walking a desolate beach - with bare feet in the sand,
