what's the best deal you ever got on anything ..... once at Walmart.. . in the outside aisle... you know where they have all the specials.... they had a full pallet of Kool Aid... drink pouches... I think there's like 12 to a box.... normally $3.70...... but on this day the sign read a dollar..... obviously a mistake. ... which was confirmed at the till..... so I found a manager showed him.. the sign reading $1...
. he said okay just you can have them for a dollar..... so I picked up 50 boxes. ....lol.... my boys and their friends drink a lot of Kool Aid ..let me tell you... I think I still have a box of it left..lol... . . |

Had that many good deals, but the one that stands out was the one where I bought a lock up garage and it was chock full of reels of electrical cable. Being in the building game myself, my electrician mates were clamouring over themselves to buy it all and I still had the garage I paid for. Result!!

I made a trade with a not so bright kid named Jack.
For a handful of beans, I got a masochist cow. The cream from this cow would whip itself. Great deal!! |

apart from the kool-aid which was still a pretty good deal..
. years a go my dad and I wanted to add a 1 ton dually truck to our fleet.. . we went to Ritchie brothers auction.. .... they had lots of 1 ton dually trucks. up for auction that day.. some in mint condition some in less than mint condition.... I spotted a 1984 Chevy 1 ton dually flatbed..... in the back corner.... it had a Lincoln welder.. sitting on the flatbed..... this truck was cherry..... hoist box the truck had been converted to propane.. side mounted tool boxes..... perfect for what I was looking for..... so my dad and I.. went and took our seats at the auction.. and one after one 1 ton truck came up on the auction block..... but they were going for a ridiculous amount of money... even junk was going for ten grand.... my dad said there's no way you are going to get that truck for cheap...lol.. I said, well let's just wait and see.. .. so after a couple hours.... the crowd started to thin out.. people got what they came for and left..... .. so finally the truck I was interested in. came up on the auction block... .. my dad said is not going to go cheap....... I looked around ,and could see two or three other people interested in my truck..... the auctioneer announces the truck... 1984 flatbed dually..... who's going to start the bidding... . my other three competitors put up their hands.. then the auctioneer said the Lincoln welder is not included..... my three other competitors dropped their hands I put up my hand and offered a bid of $2500... . nobody else countered my offer.. the truck was mine. .... I still have that truck and over its lifetime with me... it has probably done over 3 million dollars worth of business....lol.. talk about a deal... . and out of all our trucks... she has never broken down once... she's my favorite... love the truck.. . . . . . |

Home Depot in Kenai Alaska was closing out boating equipment, bought a few things and when I got to the register found out they had bottomed most everything at 9 cents, went back and got everything they had left in the section. Several thousand dollars worth of assorted stainless steel marine gear for a few dollars. Did similar a Scotties when they went out of business $20 per big grocery cart full of expensive plumbing parts, tips for Weller soldering guns etc. I pulled from the shelves. Two carts with over 2 thousand in parts.
