The word Christian is used so loosely today. Many people just say "yes, I'm a Christian" without understanding the truth of the matter. The truth of the matter is that a Christian is definitely meant to be a reflection of Christ and of God. Many people say "what would Jesus do" but they still only do what is satisfying to their selves. Many people do follow God and they do serve God but they also serve another master. They also serve the desires of the flesh. That means that instead of doing the will of God or doing the as the Spirit of God leads a person to do; they do what they desire to do. Many people make excuses for their personal desire to sin & many people create an image of (their own) God by saying " God won't care" or "God will understand". It's amazing how many people take their life and gamble with it. It's amazing how many people live as if tomorrow is promised to them. It's amazing how many people post-pone getting right with God. Many Christians go to church but many Christians get upset when their toes get stepped on by the leadership of the church. It's the duty of the Shepherd of the church to call out the true word of God to the congregation. No matter who it offends, the truth is still the truth (as long as the truth is the actual word of God). People don't want to hear the real truth because if they don't hear it, they can continue to sin as if they were never instructed not to do so.Sometimes I don't want to say that I'm a Christian because I want to say that I'm a person of God. People have tainted the word Christian by accepting a watered down sermon that allows them to live a watered down life while claiming to be reflections of Christ or God.
