Where are all the American guys? All these guys their profiles say they are from the US but when you start chatting with them you can instantly tell they are not from here.

I think you are talking about scammers,and that's the same on all dating sites. But this site is international,so you are a foreigner to me too Join in with the forums,the fakes don't last long here and there are lots of nice people to get to know.Some are even foreign (American) !

I honestly am not trying to sound rude but I just keep getting these crazy emails. If it is honestly someone looking for a connection, that would be awesome but these are just bizarre. Obviously I'm new to all of this.

You didn't come across as being rude,that was just my sense of humour We all have to get used to the scammers on dating sites to start with,and those just wanting sex too.You will learn if you can be patient,but do look through the forums,there is good advice on old posts.Or do what you just did,and ask for yourself

Well you're in Albuquirky and I'm in rural Texas north of Waco. I haven't met to many from my area that are on the site but have seen quite a few that did get here at one time. I've sent a few notes and flirted but most try for a while and go away. I did find one 27 YO that claimed to be in Houston but it turned out she was 40 miles north of me, with kids and a fiance. I found her on facebook and contacted her man to tell him what she was up to. Don't know what happened but that was that. Even had 2 that said they were local and both have said they're on "missions" in Africa. Do they really think guys my age are that desperate or stupid?

Its a common ploy used by all the scammers.....so easy to see through... but as Dodo said it is an international site, so you will get attention from guys all over the world....
