I am changing, I no longer believe that there is good in all people, now people have to earn my trust and respect, I no longer give it freely. I don't know that the world is changing but I certainly am. Perhaps it is called, "growing up."

Before social media and the Internet, I lived in my own small world, a community where folks didn't lock their doors and we greeted folks as they passed by, life was not perfect, people were neighbors, we accepted and helped one another. No more!

New folks come and go, often not the best of characters, searching only to find what they brought with them, and I imagine will take with them no matter where they go. But they often leave a bit of them-self behind, so now my trust has to be earned, I no longer believe everything people tell me.

Sadly to say, a lot of that is true.
