I feel that some are just picking on me calling the Bible a dumb book. To elaborate, I was thinking along the lines of "The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao". In other words, the Bible that can be written is not the eternal word of God. Hope that is more clear.

Why do people always make Islam out to be a bad religion? Look at what Israel is doing to Palestine. Look at how the U.S. meddles in the affairs of the Middle East. So, we have Jews and Christians creating enemies all over the world. It's not just Muslims who are behind. Even the Pope still condones sexism, spanking kids, and is anti-gay. The other day in the U.S. a judge condoned firing a woman for breastfeeding and said it's not sexist because men can breatfeed too (whatever). How come the Christians and Jews won't look at their own ignorance and violence, but are quick to blame Muslims? Why so much discrimination when you also believe in a stupid old book that is full of violence and contradictions? All religions should be a tool for peace or just go away.

Sexism?
I guess you've never seen a burqa.

condemns gays?
Guess you're not aware that the Islamic state of Iran, executes homosexuals, for simply being homosexuals.

Breastfeeding in public?
A woman would be beaten and/or stoned to death in an Islamic nation, for floppin' her tlt out in public to breastfeed her kid.

I think Sheik was the only one who said don't call terrorists Muslims, so he knows Islam is not just an evil religion and Muslims are not just evil. Other than that, thank you all for the evidence that what I've been noticing has some merit. Wish you would open your eyes up! Christians, Jews and Muslims are all part of the same religion. And even when you try and separate them, each have been the reason for killing. But, now we are on the last of the trilogy of wars. Remember that Jesus told you to be patient and love your neighbor? I think he intended that advice to be used in this life. What do you all think was Jesus' meaning?

when was the last time a jew or christian strapped a bomb onto their azz and blew it up in a crowded market or bus station? killing innocents for nothing doesn't really sit well with people...

its easy to vilify a majority because of a minority,, that's not new or exclusive to religion(happens with race, gender, nationality,,etc)

The new Pope actually goes along with just about everything, including homosexuality

there is nothing wrong with spanking or acknowledging differences between the sexes so Im not sure why that is considered 'behind'

the bottom line on violence, in my opinion, people learn from their environment,, not just their religion or their friends or their family

if they are surrounded where violence is the norm , where thare are constant battles and attacks and occupying forces (like in the middle east) it will either becomes a way of life they emulate or a way of life that they rebel against,

regardless of the religion, race, gender, or nationality, it is the TYPE OF PERSON and how they react to their environment, that ultimately predicts how violent or 'evil' they are or will become

Hmmm?..... Tunnel vision or wind up threads?....Tough choice....

Judging from other Posts by OP,I'd say

The 'Key' to deterring the Hadithites, is don't give them credit were credit isn't due.

Stop calling them Muslims, and start accusing them of being anything-else-but!

I thought I'd re-post this because Mightymoe obviously didn't read it.

(Or He Doesn't Understand It)

Come to think of it... The Rockgnome didn't read or understand it either.

I believe that both genders are equal to each other, anything else is sexist. Equal but different is possible.

As for spanking kids I completely am against this. Yes parents can make mistakes but this should not be encouraged. It is always a mistake to use any violence on a child instead of teaching them and using patience. Children go through stages of learning and they mean no harm, so it's not right to use harm against them. They should have the right not to be spanked, they are humans with human rights.
Besides, you know how people defend spanking kids, they use the same reasoning that the Quran does about husbands hitting their wives...as long as it's done right, as if it can ever be right. So, let's give our kids the same rights as we have given women please. Spanking kids should be considered domestic violence under the law.
Teach your kids, be present, set an example, and their behavior should work itself out. Just like husbands who treat their wives fairly, that usually does the trick to get them to act right too.

I agree Sheik.
I don't think of ISIS as Muslim.
They are a gang of phsychotic criminals.
Nothing more..nothing less.

How about Jamia Islamia?
Moro Islamic Liberation Front?
Bansamoro Freedom Islamic Fighters?
The Abu sayyaf?
Are they not a Muslim?

They love kidnapping and killing the media and the tourist people.
They love brutality killing?
We want a peace and we hate a war but how could this be? If they wont stop doing cruelty killing?

By the Quran's own admission, there aren't two or more 'types' or Islam.

Just like Bible's own admission, there aren't more than one 'type' of followers of Christ.

Nothing should actually have to precede the word, 'Islam'.

Likewise, nothing should actually precede the title, 'Muslim'.

Take for example, Malcolm X...

This fellow originally was associated with, 'The Muslim Black Brotherhood' but, eventually didn't want to remain in their association before he was finished.

He saw the folly of using the religion of Islam as a front for a Black Supremacist group.

Eventually, he was assassinated by these 'would-be Muslims!'

In reply to Mightymoe...

You prefer to think defining, who is Muslim, and who isn't, is solely the Muslim World's department, but You must also remember most of the dismantling of 'original' Islam has occurred from covert operations in the past, from mostly European joint Jewish-Christian operations.

kids have RIGHTS? once they grow up to support themselves yes,,,when someone else will be paying the costs of their choices,, they have the right to accept that someone else has the authority that comes with that responsibility and to do as they are told, to be loved and looked after and provided for

that's their rights
But they also have to follow the rules, ,just like WOMEN and MEN do,(adults call them LAWS), and just like women and men they have the right to face consequences when they don't

we don't shoot and taser and chokehold and imprison kids for breaking the rules ('laws'),, we spank their amply protected behinds that they fall upon a million times in their lives

it doesn't 'harm' them,, it teaches them real consequence that will prepare them for the REAL consequences in the world

because we don't hear about it doesn't mean it doesn't happen

the difference is only in perception

people who come from countries that are SECULAR, identify with their religion, so when they oppress , or terrorize, or occupy, it is represented by the western media as RELIGIOUS related

people from western countries that are nonsecular, identify more with their 'nation', so when they oppress, or oterrorize , or occupy others it is represented by our media as political or patriotic, but to secular countries who see us as 'christians' it is tied to Christianity,,

the same way we tie their actions to their religion

,,,,the difference is in perception

both religions have their monsters and opportunists

media chooses which picture to paint,,,,,(religious or political)

I find the wording of this statement very strange.

Just because somebody makes a comment about, 'what something isn't' shouldn't somehow be an admittance of, 'what something is!'

Very strange grammatical error... Unless, I'm to assume Estelle79 is pro-terrorist! what
