the same case here ( I belong to a Muslim family that practices religion ) , although it could be disturbing for both sides when some discussions rise tension , but i don't feel at all like excluding family from my life , when we gather i ask them not to bring religion to any discussion , they understand ( in most cases they just don't want to hear my opinions about it ) and everyone becomes happy .

I am not religious, but I studied many religions. So am not gonna argue, I have one advice for you: there is a chance that someone else made that opinion for you, so read history, read sociology, read translation of religions. Any of those would do, reading a recent article is not enough. But you're obviously not here to try to understand sth, you want to make a statement, regardless of that statement being yours or not. Or don't, either way, it's up to you.

Well Mightymoe, did it ever occur to You that relatively small population of 'other religions' may not be that popular. Especially, when a good-many of those 'other religions' were often so fierce in starting wars with the Muslim community in the distant past?

I don't like explaining religion that deep. But I'll go ahead and try. First one beheading: it's a religious extremist tendency, not everyone is an extremist, in fact, a very known small percentage of people who consider themselves Muslims are extremist, they're mostly called terrorists. Extreme actions might be made by people who are not extremist, but very stupid, and they are prosecuted. Second the 10% there is a long history to it, it didn't just happen overnight. It's my opinion however, perhaps if you study the same sources I have you might make a different conclusion, but to me, it really makes sense why there is a majority of Muslims in their known countries, a couple of factors involved. The reason I didn't like his statement is because I don't believe it's his, I believe it's the product of movies and biased media.

Nah, I always disagree with people when it comes to religion, I guess it's a thing /:) it doesn't matter which religion you can talk badly about, I have a tendency to defend it, I guess it might be because the time I've invested in understanding them. Maybe.

Oh haha I meant prosecuted by law, I was referring to incidents where an individual commits a crime in the name of religion, like killing a homosexual, they are they are treated as criminals
