Everyone that I have on my Favorite's List and Who's Viewed Me List are shown as online (blinking) constantly. Is this a bug or part of the stealth feature not working for free members? This has been happening for the last week! Thanks

I asked this issue myself a few day's ago.

Did you get an answer Spicy? I think most of these people have logged out and are still showing online. Some may not be able to click on Logout to do so though because the link doesn't work.

Has nothing to do with us logging out, but possibly the other's that appear online have not logged out. There are other issue reported before this one that have not been fixed to-date.

Give them time to look through the multitude of isses and possibilities.

Someone a few days ago posted that all the links at the top of the page didn't work. When they clicked, the white hand didn't show. This would explain why some may not be able to logout if they attempted to. Also means they can't open mails to reply or use any of the other links.

I haven't had this problem using IE browser, so maybe it's a browser issue for other browsers that are not compatible with the site's new changes.

At this time, solodove, I see 7 of the 9 who viewed you online and and 2 out of your 5 favorites online. That's a good percentage, but it also seems reasonable.

If people can't use certain features on certain browsers, though, we encourage them to let us know.

I to have noticed recently, that people who i have messaged are being shown online for ever. There definitely is a problem with this site, in respect to this situation. It would be nice if someone could finally rectify this problem.

It doesn't seem to be a definite problem, but we are continuing to investigate it and will fix it, if necessary.

It may be that some members don't click on Log Out when they're ready to leave their account here. They click X and close their browser instead. This site apparently isn't programmed to Log Out the accounts automatically when the browser is closed, like a lot of websites are.

It is possible, the person simply didn't log out. The image is normal, and those who have closed their browser, without logging out, will show as online.

I could be wrong, checking it now.

It is normal for those who are NOT in stealth mode, to show as IF the user closed the browser without logging out.

this "online forever" feature is making this site useless as its impossible to determine if a user is truly active or not!!

its a simple problem to resolve, no other site of this nature that i am aware of has this problem, sugest you fix it before the uselesness of the site due to this fault becomes widely known!! its certainly reduced my usage.......

We have not made any changes to the behavior of accounts in this area, strikeslucky. We are taking another look at our app, though, to make sure that it is not causing "false onlines".

Don't thanks me yet ( ), but that is one of the approaches that we are considering, yes.

just a quick note, i directed my browser to the site today and found i was still logged in!! i could have sworn i logged out yesterday but either forgot or misclicked etc!! this proves to me this site does not timeout idle sessions and is hence a probable cause of much of the reported frustration among users of phantoms (users shown online who are not). I myself have frequently suffered un-answered messages from users shown online (ok so i am an old git nobody wants to chat to) BUT these users may in fact have completely stopped using the site or only visit monthly but because there is no timeout we are non the wiser and continue firing messages into black holes hahaha
