Deep into the Dark
It is hard to see your mark Where it is hard to find a place to belong Searching and looking always takes to long People come and go as we do the best we can do From far and near they come even from the shadow Looking carefully as they watch as they seek A warm smile a helping hand even from the meek A warm place to slumber a warm bowl of stew will do With warmth that runs through their bodies they fall to sleep Everything so quiet so peaceful not even a sound from the sheep As the mourning comes around and a new day begins the traveler wishes ado The stranger travels along many valleys and many hills Along the way he sees many wonderful windmills Twirling winding by the will of the wind As the air the gods from above do send Walking further seeing many fields plowed Many trees blooming with apples And a little bit further perhaps a few trees of maple All this work surely shows the achievement towed Wild flowers growing in the paths so high As though they were painted with rainbow colored dye Wild animals of all sorts running free and around If not carefully watched would over run the town Coming closer to the castle people all walking around with smiles Working doing chores one would think they walked on for miles Music playing softly by wooden flutes and maybe the sounds of harps Looking further along the line of the market booths were shaded by multi colored tarps Knights walking talking looking at the maidens so pretty and pure The way they walked and talked and how the gowns fit so demure A day of mirth a day of cheer dreams to be had and sought A lady blushes the color of a delicate rose as the honorable knight offers a comb he just bought Looking up seeing banners flying proudly reading the inarticulate sign reading Camelot The man that runs the lands and people love and adore is called Lancelot Trumpets roaring sounding off the event of jesting Men in armor riding horses against each other testing Clashing of weapons splinters flying crowd cheering An excitable maiden in the stands watching smiling so endearing The bright heated sun so full of colors begin to set The traveler thinks back to all the wonderful people he met Stars dancing high in the tinted skies Leaning back against the tree he closes his eyes As the darkness once again over takes his body rest does come Dreams come from the exciting events, many festival shopping lots Resting peacefully under the stars on the lands of Camelot Hail Prince Lancelot! |
