Do you agree with this message?

I feel this video holds a very humbling view on things, and is very
truthful in its delivery. While there are things even I may dispute
about the details, the entirety sends a positive message I think all
should hear:

Copy and past this link for some real reality! Or just plain fun. LOL

Ghost YouTube loads like shit for m becuase I am on dialup :( BUT I did
recognize the song...."Down With The Sickness" by Disturbed
Lyrics below..not sure if this was the message or not so uhm like lemme
know iffin I am wrong on this.

"Down With The Sickness"

Can you feel that?
Ah, shit

Drowning deep in my sea of loathing
Broken your servant I kneel
(Will you give in to me?)
It seems what's left of my human side
Is slowly changing in me
(Will you give in to me?)

Looking at my own reflection
When suddenly it changes
Violently it changes (oh no)
There is no turning back now
You've woken up the demon in me

[Chorus:]
Get up, come on get down with the sickness [x3]
Open up your hate, and let it flow into me
Get up, come on get down with the sickness
You mother get up come on get down with the sickness
You fucker get up come on get down with the sickness
Madness is the gift, that has been given to me

I can see inside you, the sickness is rising
Don't try to deny what you feel
(Will you give in to me?)
It seems that all that was good has died
And is decaying in me
(Will you give in to me?)

It seems you're having some trouble
In dealing with these changes
Living with these changes (oh no)
The world is a scary place
Now that you've woken up the demon in me

[Chorus]

(And when I dream) [x4]
No mommy, don't do it again
Don't do it again
I'll be a good boy
I'll be a good boy, I promise
No mommy don't hit me
Why did you have to hit me like that, mommy?
Don't do it, you're hurting me
Why did you have to be such a bitch
Why don't you,
Why don't you just fuck off and die
Why can't you just fuck off and die
Why can't you just leave here and die
Never stick your hand in my face again bitch
FUCK YOU
I don't need this shit
You stupid sadistic abusive fucking whore
How would you like to see how it feels mommy
Here it comes, get ready to die

[Chorus (last line changed to "Madness has now come over me")]

I'm not familiar with this song but the video makes a poignant point
about our notion about evolution and who we are. Kind of a sarcastic one
at that too.

really interesting video, it shows that we take ourselves too seriously.

Gaaaah curses!!! I wish I had dsl in this area so I could see the
video....I also read the article that Sagan wrote, he Dragon In My
Garage...still running thoughts on that through the ol brain..I'll post
some on it later today

Hey, I still have dialup too. I didn't really get to see the whole
video, but I saw enough to get a sence of what it was about.

I perfer dialup anyways. With DSL when your not using the internet, your
still on line, your always online with DSL(unless you use a dialup).
Being on line constantly can be scary, cause hackers can sniff you out
and attack your pc with all kinds of stuff that you may not be aware of.

I'll keep trying o get it to load a bit better, maybe I might hit a time
when its not so busy.

Ha.

Too bad we can't just download it as a file and not that stupid
streaming stuff. I hate streaming video. I guess the producer doesn't
want people to copy it to their PC so you have to keep going to the site
just to watch it. maybe it's copy written or something. Kind of looks
like something a college kid did that was majoring in evolution and
minoring in video production. The slide show concept was a good idea,
kind of like the slide shows we use to get in high school. But I think
it works well for the subject matter.

Ok now this makes more sense than the Disturbed song lol
It was very much like the old flm strips we saw in school. One of the
issues that made me question the whole God concept at an early age was
evolution, how could there be scientific proof of evolution but none of
Adam and Eve, those were they types of thoughts i had when I was 9 or
10..I still have them ..I do not believe in the whole creation theory,
there is far more scientific proof of evolution. So yes I do believe in
evolution. Thanks for finding the right clip for us Ghost, it played,
though stiltingly, bu far beter than the other clip. Even my 2 year old
niece enjoyed it, as it had 2 of her favorite things in it, babies and
monkeys...

I'm sorry but there is absolutely NO scientific proof of evolution.
There is not ONE scrap of evidence that shows that one form of life can
"evolve" into a completely different life form. There is such a thing as
adaptation however, but evolution is still just a THEORY, NOT scientific
fact. That's why it's still called the "Theory of evolution".
Evolution is a stop-gap belief for those that don't believe in God, or a
supreme being or whatever you wanna call Him/Her/It.
Personally, I'd find it easier to swallow that this planet was seeded by
aliens rather than life "just happening" by accident.
That's just my opinion tho

Ya i really don't think we evolved from monkeys... more likely some
higher being used a monkey and some other dna and we were produced...

we are genetically really close, but that 1% diff makes all the diff..

actually im think im an alien ;)

vanchau!

Don't get into Scientology please. LOL

I can't say for sure myself whether we came directly from apes or
monkeys. There is another thought( Well I'm probably going to openup
another can of worms. But) that man originated from Africa, and migrated
thoughtout Africa and into Europe and into Asia, then in to the
Americas. I would have some doubts on that as well. That would mean that
the moneys and apes migrated too. Or in the case of evolution goes. The
apes would have to migrated first. then mutated and then eventually
became human. So by that analogy, man would have evolved in many
different places and not just from Africa.

Animal.

So creation is more plausible????? So God just blow the dust and then
whoa! there we are?

OK maybe Scientology isn't so wacky after all. LoL!

I'm saying that with NO scientific proof for either, the theory that
this was one big fortunate, cosmic "accident" seems the least plausible
of all. Even the logical part of my brain tells me that life "appearing"
from nothing seems very highly unlikely. And since it is impossible for
dogs and cats or horses and cows or whatever to breed together, how the
HELL could it be possible for one animal to "evolve" into another kind?
Even animals that are close in genus can't reproduce. You take take
monkey eggs and fertilize it with human sperm (or vice versa) and create
a life.

Tell that to gays then.

So it makes more sense for a mistical creature to blow life into us.

You are merely dispelling your own myth then. Something coming from
nothing as apposed to a being that a diety just decided to creat life
one day ant then there we are? Doesn't that defiy logic?

PublicAnimalNo9's photo
Wed 11/01/06 11:59 PM
yes it does Ghost..that's where faith comes in. All I'm saying is that
to me, evolution and cosmic accidents seem the least logical. I don't
believe in aliens at all either, but as I said, I'd find it easier to
believe they seeded the planet to create life here as opposed to us
"just happening"..but then that begs the question, where did THEY come
from and, for that matter, where did everything that makes up the cosmos
come from?

This is a fun mental exercise and it's always intersting to hear other
points of view, but the fact is, neither of us will know the answer of
life until we die. ;-)
