" yes it does Ghost.. "

Wow! Then there's no object in believing in the Spaghetti Monster then
as long as it's based on faith?

So why not believe that Jews are a disease on humanity as Hitler did? If
I choose to do so. Then who among you have the right to challenge me? If
it is my belief.

No one is challenging your belief Ghost, if that's how you feel about
the Jews then it is your right to believe that..the difference is in the
actions. Hitler crossed a HUGE line from hating the Jews to actually
trying to exterminate them..are you saying that you should have that
same right because of what you believe???
And let's face it Ghost, you still have a faith and belief system. You
have faith that science is all knowing and completely correct about the
origins of life..Your religion IS science.
Faith is nothing more than a strong belief in something. Faith in
science, faith in technology, faith in gov't faith in money etc etc.

No Animal I am not suggesting that I hate Jews or other's. I was using
that as a metaphor for believing that Jews are a cures on humanity
without any regard for proof or evidence. I was merely suggesting that
if one has a belief in that other's are either the chosen people or the
damned people, that can be a belief whether you agree or not. So why
believe in it if you have no real evidence other wise. What makes you
believe in the way you believe unless you have had some profound
experience that gave you the notion that what you believe is true. And
why not believe in the way that the Born again(Conservitives)Christians
believe, and not think that smoking cannabis is being closer to God?
I'll tell you why. Because your notion of religion suits your needs and
as well as the bornagains belief that total literal scripture is their
way of being closer to God. So were is the consensus? Is God a huckster,
by creating chaos in everyone's belief?

PublicAnimalNo9's photo

It's not God that's creating chaos in the belief system..it's man cuz
mankind will ALWAYS be stuck on his or her particular viewpoint. This
just doesn't occur in religion..it also occurs in politics.
You are right about one thing tho Ghost, we believe what we believe
based on what we experience

Ghostrecon's photo
Fri 11/03/06 09:11 PM
So then again, I say god must be a huckster to put humans especially
religious type in such chaotic differences. You say that's humans doing
that. But doesn't god put that in humans to be chaotic. were then is the
order in things? I thought God was about creating order in the life of
humans? You say that'sfree will. But the bible states that god demands
complete obedience. So why would god demand that and yet give us the
ability to tell him to go jump in a lake? Would you not want your son or
daughter to obey your rules, but yet give them the free will to say fuck
you without consequences.
Can you try to find that in Atheists? Pretty much from what I can learn
from atheist that they don't have much differences about their beliefs.
You get agnostics but that's not really the same. They question the
existence of God. They are not sure there is a god but they are not sure
their isn't either. So that that you can't say about atheists, they know
there is not god and there is no confusion about their belief. So why if
God is about order, that soo many religious types are in such chaos and
in the example of atheist's there is no chaos?

Well first of all Ghost..a lot of ppl not familiar with the Bible don't
understand that it is actually TWO books. The Old Testament, which is
pretty much the same as the Koran and the Qaran in the Jewish and Muslim
faiths, and the New Testament which deals with the gift of Christ. That
God commands complete obedience is from the Old Testament, that's why He
sent His Son, because he knew how imperfect we are, so that when we slip
we don't have to sacfifice a pure animal as the Jews had to do in the
Old Testament. We just need to ask forgiveness for our mistakes. As for
the chaos around us, being an agnostic I would think you believed in the
Chaos Theory lol. sry Ghost, just funnin ya there.
God gave us everything we have, including our unique ability to create
our own chaos. Of course God knew what we would do with what he gave us,
that's why he gave us a way out by sending his Son to die for us.

I know that a lot of ppl dismiss not so much His crucifiction but His
resurrection.
When they laid Jesus to rest in his tomb, the Romans sealed it with a
huge stone. Not even the 2 guards watching the tomb could move it. Not
that the Romans would WANT to remove the body because that would only
seem to fulfill the prohpecy that Jesus' followers believed, which is
NOT what the Romans wanted.
So how did enuff ppl manage to sneak past the guards, move a huge stone
that would have made enuff noise to alert the guards and remove Jesus'
body? And since there is no logical answer that can make sense of
it,faith takes over.

Soo why are athiest not in the same chaos as religous types? Is it
because of the theory of KISS, keep it simple stupid.LOL It is defenetly
simple enough to not believe in a God I guess. So wh7y compicate your
life? Well, mabe your life isn't complicated but I would guess that a
lot of religous type's life is complicated by that fact that they ask
why God destroyed their home in Katrina and in Iraq. While athiest don't
ponder that notion as why. They just know that no diety is pulling the
srings but man. So they know who to blame.

As far as the roman guards guarding Jesus tomb. They probably whent for
a smoak. lol

PublicAnimalNo9's photo
Fri 11/03/06 10:31 PM
went for a smoke lol...I'm pretty sure the mid east didn't have tobacco
back then.
Again Ghost, it's not God creating the chaos in those ppl's lives. It's
the ppl creating it, and I'll tell you, lots of atheists live in chaos
too.
People wanna say well if there is a God, why did he let Katrina happen?
He didn't, once again, man's complacency caused the real havoc. They
knew that if a big enuff hurricane hit, the levees wouldn't hold, but
they figured,"what are the odds?"
NEVER ask that question when yer dealing with the forces of nature.
Secondly, natural disasters are an important part of our planet's life
cycle. Oddly enough they are necessary to keep this planet capable of
sustaining life. Is it God's fault that so many ppl live near coastal
areas?
God doesn't play God with us any more, at least not on catastrophic
scales anyway. WE are the makers of our own fate.
Here's the BIG difference tho, religion is man made, spirituality is God
given

Well, Animal.
I don't know if they had the wacky tobacco either.LOL

But the truth is that most people are too stubborn to see that the
choice is there's They can either levee those places that are not
inhabitable or they can stay and endure natures wrath. One might say
that there are those who have no choice, that is true because of
economical situation. But I would think that it would be more economical
to leave somehow. I don't care about some levee system. If you are at a
potential danger then no amount of levee system is going to intimately
protect you. Just like it's crazy to move to Florida because of the nice
weather when you know they have Hurricanes as well as the other places
that natural disasters. I live in New England. Not much happens here.
kind of dull. But pretty much safe though.

lol I plan on moving there in within the next 6 months, My g/f says the
same thing about New England lol...I hear ya about Florida or any
shouthern coastal state...wouldn't live in CA cuz of the earthquakes
either, or the rest of the west coast for that matter, there's volcanos
too. MN was all right as far as natural disasters go lol

If your an up standing young man and is married. You can getfree land in
Montana as long as you intend to have a family. The school system there
is stuggling with the finances so they created a gimmik for anyone to
have free land in montana as long as you will start a family to attend
their public school systems.

Good pickens

Go for the land then lease it out. Sounds good to me. Yee hah!

going to Florida( The land of newly wedds, and nearly deads.)lol

I don't know about Kansas any more, or were not in Kansas any more. LOL

hill. lol

with my luck, my 1st week in Florida I'd get blown away by a hurricane
lol, besides MASS and the rest of NE is beautiful.

Ghostrecon's photo
Tue 11/07/06 08:55 PM
You want to see beauty. Go to Vermont or Main. They seem rather
untouched by man. The only good places in Mass is out in western Mass.
The closer you get to Boston, the more expensive it is. And the wages
don't even keep-up with the cost of liven either. I think in Florida the
closer you are to the Beach front the higher the cost of a house:

Holding the dubious honor - by a huge margin - of being the most
overvalued area is Naples, Florida which, with an average price of
$383,000 was considered to be over-valued by 102.6 percent. As a measure
of how rapidly Naples' prices have increased, in the first quarter of
2002 it was considered only 1.9 percent overvalued and one year ago 53.3
percent. In second place is Salinas, California with an average price of
$608,600 - 79.1 percent higher than the study designers consider to be
the real value or homes in the area. Salinas actually decreased since
the previous quarter when the average value was $614,100, 81.4 percent
over-value. Following the 71 most overvalued areas are 45 others with
over-values exceeding 20 percent.

At the other end of the scale, the most undervalued area is College
Station-Bryan, Texas with an average price of $94,200, considered 23.7
percent under-valued, followed closely by Dallas, Texas and Fort Worth,
Texas, both under-valued by slightly over 18 percent, and five other
generally large Texas cities such as Houston, El Paso, and Midland.
Texas metropolitan areas, in fact, represent 20 of the bottom 50 on the
list. Alabama, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Indiana also have multiple SMSAs
on the list.
Rounding out the Top 10 in home price appreciation, were Santa
Barbara-Santa Maria-Lompoc, CA, 12.50 percent; Brockton, MA, 12.41
percent; Nashua, NH, 12.27 percent; Fort Lauderdale, FL, 11.96 percent;
Modesto, CA, 11.87 percent; San Luis Obispo-Atascadero-Paso Robles, CA,
11.83 percent; Providence-Fall River-Warwick, RI-MA, 11.81 percent;
Miami, FL, 11.42 percent; Nassau-Suffolk, NY, 11.37 percent.

And that depends on what you considered prim real-estate. Lost of land,
far away from your neighbors. As I said beach front is still top choice
though. Why? I have no clue. You get more problems with those kinds of
property, flooding, pests, erosion problems. So give a home where
there's no buffalos to roam and no Hurricanes, no pesky neighbors, no
over inflated prices, no yearly fires, no bid city urban slums. Just my
wish list.
