Hmmm...I don't know what I'd like to do for exercise. I do a lot of physical work for a living but I don't get enough cardio.

I have plenty of time to workout, but I have no idea what I'm doing.

Any suggestions / routines I should work towards?

you're lucky foxy if you've got the time:wink:

i think it's just a matter of finding what you enjoy. but you basically want to get in some flexibility training, strength and cardiovascular.

i love pilates and yoga. running, martial arts type stuff, kickboxing.

what about cycling, weights

hmm, so many things to do, so much timehappy

you could try trail runnin and throw in a few push-ups, sit-ups, etc. along the way for a whole body workout. you might be surprised how much harder your run can get by adding a small amount of circuit-type workout elements to it. i know i was the first time i tried it.... weight lifting directly before or after can change the nature of your run drastically due to fast/slow twitch muscle endurance/fatigue/recovery, blood sugar changes, carb. and protein intake/expenditure. it's fun to adjust all those little things and see how your body reacts differently. happy trails!

ever try going for a bike ride or a swim before/after a run? that can really mess with you in funny ways too
