Would you seriously date someone who wants to have intercourse only after marriage? Why or why not?

No. I do not have any beliefs that would stop me from having sex before marriage. I see no need to wait.

Being abstinent by choice is never easy, but again I believe it will be worth it in the end

different brains require different stimuli I guess.

I need sex every day or I start chewing the sofa and scratching at the walls.

don't get me wrong, I wear clothes and can count loads above 10, can even spell my name.

but not having sex for any reason other than male prison incarceration? ? that's just unthinkable.

This is entertaining! Some of the responses are most laughable. I say it is a matter of choice for the parties involved. If both parties want to wait, awesome. If both parties want to have sex, awesome. If one wants sex and the other wants to wait, not awesome.

I had to really think about this one, I would date him and respect his wishes but realistically if it got serious enough that marriage was on the table I am so taking that for a test drive because I will not hitch myself to someone for life and get stuck with someone who sucks in the sack.

I agree to each his/her own. I just know premarital sex in the past has not worked out well for me

I would not marry someone if I didnt have intercourse first. I feel that sex is an important part of a relationship.

Would you seriously date someone who wants to have intercourse only after marriage? Why or why not?

That is what I did when I dated my late wife. She and I waited until after we were married before we had sexual intercourse. The waiting didn't hurt our courtship.

I think this is awesome. Need more guys like you out in the world. flowerforyou

He's not a guy, he's a melmacian.... Might be about time to start dating melmacians... Though it might be hard to find a place to eat dinner with them...

ya know, the old premise of waiting till marriage was first devised to allow both people to make sure their relationship was not based upon only sexual pleasures, because you can really like someone in bed, but be annoyed and nearly hate how they use their brain in daily life matters...

but the old laws of "morality" shielded the actual reasons for beliefs passed down, since over time, all those that adopted such "rules" of abstinence, were just people who most wanted to be recognized in their communities as "good people", to fit in, and be accpeted as "good", and so never actually knew the founding reasons the "rules" made up originally...

but the people who made up the "rules", were not actually the "good people" they liked to think of them self as, or they would have never espoused a "one size fits all rule", as the only people who do that are superior self righteous people who love to think of them self as such, so self superior, they actually make rules for the rest of the world based upon their own personal self and experience.

of course, because they were "self worshipers", they forgot, each person is unique, and so then is each occurrence that each create.

so, what you are saying is that the concept of marriage first is actually a 3rd party imposition to the general public designed to have themselves put on a pedestal?
