From The Desk of The Author,
I was watching 'Good Will Hunting' earlier on this eve and I experienced what could only be considered an epiphany. It occurred to me while soundly comparing my intellectual level with those of the characters of Matt Damon and Robin Williams that there IS emotion in intellect. One thinks and considers therefore those of the intellectual 'higher order' are always somehow basically colorless. So often without emotion. No real inner being. In these two character figures portrayed well by both Damon and Williams, it suddenly struck me the utter sheer concept of emotion resting out there along the outer edges. I found a bit of myself there. While it is true I have, 'the gift' of owning deeper inner emotion, it is also true so many other limited aspect personality types do not. So few possess the sparkling, broader concept of Love's true worth. I am therefore to my degree ahead of the game.'Tis a nice feeling, this. Broader self worth in us all brings on in a most constructive way throws of gaiety, joy and at times real laughter. I am content however, to remain here in this limited kingdom brought on by my own essences of real heartache and the need to promote true depth of sadness. Wanting. For it is here, in this cool realm, I find myself the real Poet. Thom Douglas Carlisle ( Irish Tommy Moran ) - Ireland |

'Good Will Hunting' I personally have watched the movie several times. It's a great movie.
Tommy your poetry has always spoke with intellectual volume, soundly sad but searching from within. In this movie Matt Damon and Robin Williams experience deep emotional feelings from the heart which is not understood by the masses so they are guarded so as to protect themselves. When they are finally able to look within and find peace with themselves; they find the freedom to experiences love. |
