When I picked her up on Friday
at the door of her mother's place
she sat so silent in my car
with tears running down her face
she didn't say and I didn't ask
but I knew in her own sweet time
she'd tell me what was troubling her
the reason she was crying
I guess I knew what was coming
why my little girl was so sad
even though I try to show otherwise
her mother still tells her I'm bad
she says Daddy, Daddy I love you
can't you come back just for me
and that's when my tears start to flow
as I say that it never can be

Awwwwww Just keep loving her...

I really hate it when parents use the child as a weapon
between them...

Beautiful.. moving.... and a poetic echo of what is going on in the hearts of many children going thru divorce..
My prayers have been sent out for her little heart, so she may know Peace.
