take the classification of 'religion' out of it and ask the same thing regarding different values if one person doesn't believe its right to harm animals and the other hunts for a living,, it may be hard to make that work the same is true of 'religion' which is only a way to classify people by beliefs and values it CAN work, but its most likely much more difficult than coming to those with similar values |

Can a relationship with two different religions and cultures be successful? Ex. Christian/ Muslim.... Has anyone ever been in a relationship like this or maybe considered this type of relationship? Any success stories? Seems to be plenty of negative ones. Only respectful replies please. In my country ( Indonesia ), the marriage between a christian and a moeslem are not acceptable. If they want make their marriage become legal by the law, so our government give them a choice, one of them should convert their religion, and make it as same as their partner's religion. But our government also give another choice for them. If they dont want to convert their religions, it's meaning they can't do legal marriage in Indonesia, so the other option is do legal marriage in another country, thats acceptable by indonesian marriage Law. In my opinion, If we really love someone, we have to accept and also always respect his/her religion, and never force each other to convert their beliefs for any reasons if they dont want it. Btw, as long as you are comfort with him, then lets God do the rest for you both.

it is only most important to NEVER be with one whom dictates what actions YOU DO, by what is as acceptable or unacceptable to them.
THAT, each GROWN ADULT gets to choose, in a true love relationship. each is EQUAL. giving total freedom to the other to make the moves, the reactions, THEY SEE FIT. do some live without such... yes... and they declare their happy to many others face, but whine and ***** at the same time and cheat on their spouse or sig other... and are attracted to many others, because they are not truly happy with them self, when being this way. it can be done, in the old school days most, but NEITHER the one will EVER REACH IT'S OWN TRUE POTENTIAL. and in today's modern world of FREEDOM OF CHOICE, it will be much harder to try to suppress or stifle another's free choice, and them be happy. as humans are awesome, because they hate to be ENSLAVED. no different that animals hate it. LIFE LIKES AND LOVES FREEDOM. and when one has to walk around, with each movement and reaction of it self being judged by another as good or not good... ugh... such makes for a self sabotaging situation and self sabotaging energy. if there is true love in a person for another, they will never make them self YOUR PARENT, OR YOUR AUTHORITY. but many unwittingly got this from their own parents relationships, and them from their's... but the worst are those raised in religious settings, as these were indoctrinated that GOD AUTHORITY governs what a male or female should be, and in most RELIGIONS, the man will be the one that DEEMS WHAT BE FITTING behavior, AS THEY THINK WOMEN SHOULD BE SUBMISSIVE. THIS WILL BE VERY HARD TO GET PAST. oh of course, in the beginnings, such will never rear it's ugly head, but once a male, the natural conqueror, has A fe safety in it's own space... and it believes you are "ALL HIS"... either total freedom of true love comes forth, or true demonic possession of another soul come forth, as "ownership"... you are now officially another's slave. if they question ANY of your moves and thoughts as unsmart, or they DON'T LIKE OR APPROVE OF THEM NOW, at any moment, it shall only increase 10X after being together. may the force of wisdom be with ALL. |

i don't know if Haytham reads this , but i believe he shouldn't ask you to convert under any circumstances ,each one of you has special character , ideology and personality ... it would be pointless to become copies of each other . Actually he has never ask me to convert. Just as I would never ask anyone else to do so. When we first started talking I ask him many questions about Islam because I wanted to understand why these terrorist where doing what they do. The more we spoke the more we learned about each other the more we liked each other and so on. .lol. |

Actually he has never ask me to convert. Just as I would never ask anyone else to do so. When we first started talking I ask him many questions about Islam because I wanted to understand why these terrorist where doing what they do. The more we spoke the more we learned about each other the more we liked each other and so on. .lol. is he Nida'a Tunis supporter or Al-Nahda supporter ?
