nice ad hominem, care to explain what was not true of what was posted? What was left out of the op was obvious, that this is clearly a hate crime. If it were whites killing a black man, it would be labeled a "Hate Crime". No ad hominem if it's true. |

and how is it obvious they were 'targeted' because of the actual or perceived race, color, religion, or national origin of any personand not random....?
which is one of the additional requirements for a hate crime? was there some mention of their race before the act? was there any indication they even knew each other? ,,,,,nah, don't think so, especially since the car was the first victim until the person got out,,,lol and until there is, there's not going to be anything that meets criteria for a hate crime |

It was in a black neighborhood. A lot more blacks than whites. Why didn't they attack and kill a black man?
Obvious. |

Obvious. so the determination of a target is if the victim is anyone NOT in the majority? ,,,,don't go into law,,, the law dictates there must be a TARGET of someone from different discriminated groups,,, the proof is not there,,, |

For the purposes of collecting statistics, Congress has defined a hate crime as a criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offenders bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual orientation. Hate itself is not a crime and the FBI is mindful of protecting freedom of speech and other civil liberties. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/investigate/civilrights/hate_crimes/overview |

i didn't classify a "hate crime", because the very distinction of "hate crime", creates more hate crimes...
such in it self first "classifies" color, sect, creed, nationality, etc ect as qualifiers... take "qualifiers out of the laws" then one would reduce "racism" and prejudice... if the law is "color blind", and reported as "color blind", then hate and racial tensions would not be fueled... when the media keeps saying, A black man was shot today... a "white man" was shot today... of course... such is going to fuel racial thinking in the minds of the hearer's... put "racial quota's" in force, what will happen... the white will say the black was hired due to "color"... and vice versa... crime is crime. intent to harm, is intent to harm. one day, the world at large will wake up to the fact that their own language that "humans" them selves MADE UP, created, is creating all the divide and tensions and then violence fueled... how can one put out a fire, if it doesn't remove the fuel. |
