Okay, I don't think you qualify as a hick, maybe a redneck, but not a hick. Here's my definition of what it all means:

There's three degrees of country:

1: just good and country, not quite a redneck, but a gentleman. May not hunt or anything of that nature, but probably has a big older model truck and a kind heart. Good and Country is a good thing.

2: Redneck: REALLY VERY VERY COUNTRY! Hunts, fishes, rides 4wheelers, thinks camo is the new black, kind hearted, opens doors, and hits anyone who disrespects their lady. May not sound intellegent when they speak, but they know what the hell they are talking about. Touch thier truck and DIE! Redneck: STILL a good thing

3: Hick... dumb. Not so good.

I think you may qualify as Good and Country or Redneck even, but not Hick.
