Profiles on these dating sites are used for a reason, I am amazed at the msgs i get from men who are in the U.S or another continent that "don't care about distance to meet someone decent". Ok tried that myself recently, sorry didn't work for me. I am flattered by the compliments but I have on my profile that you have to be within 50 miles i think is the limit, so again most of these men don't read profiles. Also what's with the "No Answer" to everything, why are you on here then??? with no comments, or interests either. Baffles me, any how that's my story for today...

Most scammers aren't real concerned about what your profile says.
Likewise...they don't bother filling out their own.

It was just me thinking out loud...

I write for a living, so it's important to me, but putting together something for a profile that isn't cliched or disingenuous can be tough. Once in written conversation my comfort level improves enormously. Funny how one can be coy even with the anonymity of the internet...

Let me clarify my post, i see a profile picture first, i see a nice smile or a handsome face, i click to see that profile and there is nothing there, there is no answer checked under all the info so i really have nothing that would peak my interest other than a "pretty face". I don't expect a life story, i would like to know how tall, wants kids, etc., that's what i meant by not writing. My apologies to the offended.

I guess we could say the same goes both ways....I always try to send a few lines even if I am not interested. It seems people like to receive some mail that acknowledges that someone actually took the time to say hello.

I certainly can read and write as I am an author...living in the wilderness has its perks....the only challenge is finding a woman to share this lifestyle with me...certainly one I connect with...
