Have you ever tried to get long-time connected files deleted from Seagate external hard drive for mistaken quick format? In fact, last week, I had this problem. All my gathered videos, images and audios of my favorite TV series were lost and gone. I just didn’t want to gather them all one by one again.
Therefore, I just open Google and search for "formatted drive file recovery" to find many solutions there. After tons of comparisons, I eventually chosen a few data recovery programs recommended in some forums and article to take chances. Eventually, I finally restored most of my preferred videos, images and audios back from this formatted external hard drive. From this data loss troubles, except finding these data recovery programs, I also learned to always save all needed drive data on different drives or locations. Without enough extra drives to save them, some online storage is also good choices. So, just also learn lessons from my trouble and also learn to prepare and update data backup from now on. Here are some found articles and videos that may give you clues in data recovery: http://freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/external-hard-disk-format-recovery.html http://www.ucfix.com/data-recovery/external-hard-disk-drive-format-recovery.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOzMZSqii_0 Thanks for reading. |

iCare Data Recovery is another really good program. You can get data from anything and it is really detailed and searches for almost every format type. I didn't see the RAW image format in the list though.

Can't see why you just don't ghost image your stuff to begin with. Backup, backup, backup.
