Tripping over my self
My tongue
My words
My thoughts
And I ..fall

Looking up from where I fell
Wondering how I got there
I rise
Unsteady on my feet
Shaking to the core

One step forward
And I..trip over my self
My tongue

Falling again
Sighing deeply
So confused
Not sure why I can't function
Rising again

A hand reaches for mine
Pulling me up
Steadying me
A step taken again
And again

I try to speak
But my tongue fumbles
My words tumble
Sounds come out..in unintelligible mutters
Sounding like a goober

A hand on my shoulder
A whisper in my ear
I have nothing to fear
So I try again
And they come

My tongue smooth now
My words flowing
Just a whisper though
Still so shy
Unsure why...
