I'm thinking probably. I'm also seeing many correlations between Harry Potter and the bible. Who sees this as well?

Well, Americans coming to visit Hogwarts has certainly been good for the Scottish tourist industry.

Ah thats where it is! We have some Harry Potter place in Florida but since people there are literally the worst it seems easier to cross a ocean.

Soon an independent Scotland maybe? Although I hear the odds aren't good :/

As for OP, I don't know. Examples maybe?

Yes, it's in Scotland in the books and J K Rowling is Scottish and wrote those books in a cafe right here in Edinburgh.

My dad was once in a pub with a mate of his, who said, "That's Robbie Coltrain." He was standing next to my dad at the bar and my dad just said, "Who?" This was before Robbie Coltrain got the Hagrid part and was just known for comedy roles on TV. He just walked off in disgust.

Actually Crystal, it looks like the referendum vote is too close to call from the poles at the moment. There's like only two percent between the voters that have already made up their minds and now it's a battle for the undecided voters.

I made a smarta$$ thread trying to get entertainment for a minute that turned into a serious thread. Not complaining just admiring.

Yeah heard as much on the news ... But they did say it was 52% (or 54) against independence.
I hope the Scottish get what they themselves want, but it is quite w@nked that big companies have said to leave Scotland if .. Read up on it the other day, all the implications... Nato, EU, military requirements etc.. pffff...
What would you want? Just curious

Hahahahaha, sorry FunnyJ, lol
I suppose I should've put the question in "politics .. "
But I am curious as to what correlations? Or did you simply mean to say both are b0ll0x

Ahum
Maybe some god-fearing man or woman will still take offense?
I'm a pagan, occasionally practising a wee bit of magick and energy-work, dowsing rods, Tarot cards etc., so I may very well defend Harry Snotface.

Yes, there are companies like Standard Life that have most of their branches in England saying that they're going to move their headquarters to England if it happens. The reply to that was that they're already based in England anyway and it's just a plaque on a wall that they've got here.

The main problem that I have with it is that no matter how much my heart wants to say yes, the nationalists and yes campaigners are kind of full of crap and their arguments are terrible.

They say that they're going to get rid of nuclear weapons but stay in nato and let nuclear submarines into our ports. They say that we'll keep the pound, the queen, the BBC and so on but it doesn't seem like they have a backup plan if the English don't play ball with a currency union and the leader of the no campaign says that financial union will lead inevitably to political union (which isn't freedom" and we'll be back where we started.

Nobody votes Conservetive in Scotland though and we keep having to put up with them telling us what to do from London and a lot of people resent that. Thatcher tried out the hugely unpopular poll tax first in Scotland, for instance and now there's what they call the bedroom tax.

BTW, J K Rowling is one of the celebrities that has said that she's not for independence and she's had some abuse from nationalists because of that.

Yeah, crying shame it's being made so difficult, almost impossible by external organisations etc. Wouldn't there be a transitional thing with the currency?
Still, I do hope the Scottish will have the baws to go for it and have faith that things will work themselves out. If all these small countries in eastern Europe can do it ...
Sort of feels that if you don't go for it now and get what's rightfully yours, you'll never ever get it.
All the implications, yes ... but wouldn't it open doors, new prospects as well, I wonder.
The other day on local English radio (show done by 2 friends of mine) another DJ walked in, old geezer. And they talked about it, and the old man made a comment, cannot remember how he put it, but it was utterly derogatory. I would've like to punch his lights out, had I been there, effing wanker. Unreal that they still feel they are superior or something? pitchfork Gets my blood-pressure up, just thinking about his comment.

Anyway, another 4 days to go ... I'd like to say G'un robh math agad! But my Scottish is nowhere near erm ... anything to be honest, lol, to know if that's correct or not.

Yes, I too believe, that the manuscripts for Hairy Pothead,
are based on the life and times of Willie Nelson.
.
Never really got into the Harry Potter series.
You may be correct, J.
