Topic: Obama Denied Entry On Golf Courses {KING} | |
---|---|
While on vacation, Obama wanted to play golf. He had a lot on his mind. Anyway, when Obama notified a golf course he wanted to get in a few rounds the next day, he was denied entry. He called a second nearby course. Denied again. He called a 3rd course, denied entry. The golf courses all said... "It's a holiday weekend, he gave us only one day notice, and our customers had already paid for the time and courses he wanted to use." What do you think about this? President Obama has to play by the rules like everyone else, including booking a date and time to play on a golf course. Show me a person who thinks that President Obama should have been allowed on those golf courses, and I will show you a person who worships President Obama. |

A gracious response to an ungracious post. Agreed. If bothered to be read, msharmony's post indicated the POTUS' request should NOT have been honored. She was also the only one to touch on the deliberate and purposeful provocativeness of the topic. |

So, President Obama was treated like any other American. This is a problem how? I seriously doubt that the POTUS was treated like any other American; his private jet, private security force, and need for special security clearances for anyone around him dictate he NOT be treated like any other American. Nor would I, personally, ever want a POTUS to be treated like any other American; most other Americans who get gunned down in the street on their way to a meeting wouldn't have nearly the world-wide impact that an assassinated U.S. President would... ...just from the symbolism, alone. Regardless of any other factors - real or imagined - we are still one of the most influential countries on the world stage, "whether we like it or not". |
