Beaten for being black ...
... but "acting white". Headline: High School Girl Taunted, Beaten At Bus Stop For Acting 'Too Much Like A White Person' A 16-year-old high school girl in Rock Hill, S.C. told police that another high school girl taunted her on a school bus and then beat her up after she got off the bus. The assailant allegedly was angry at the victim because she was behaving "too much like a white person."
Both the alleged attacker and the victim are black, reports The State, a Columbia, S.C. newspaper. I remember reading about this form of anti-white racism back in the 1980s. National newspapers and magazines reported cases of black students being harassed because they dared to do things that would help them get ahead in life. Since those things were also things that white students did to get ahead, the black students were accused of "acting white". And who were harassing these black students? Answer: Other black students. Back in the 70s, I heard a black student say out loud that it was acceptable to steal from a store if the store had a white owner. This recent case of racism doesn't surprise me. Whenever a black American refuses to say that racism is absolutely wrong (which I have witnessed), you know that anti-white racism simmers. |

One is passively promoting racism when one denies that racism is absolutely wrong.

racism , when it harms, or oppresses is wrong
racism, when it is a natural and personal reaction to personal treatment , harm, or oppression is in a different category not all racism is the same, particularly in a climate when just acknowledging racial history is 'racist' but, yes, some blacks have assimilated into white bigoted views by falsely identifying negative and repressive behaviors as 'black' ,,, so from both sides, blacks can be attacked by blacks for being too 'white' and they can be attacked by whites for being not white enough,,, these kids need some serious reeducation about what being 'black' or 'white' is,,,,as well as how detrimental bullying behavior is in the long run,,, FOR TheM this isn't really news, especially amongst teens who are known to travel in clicks and go up against each other,,, |

One is passively promoting racism when one denies that racism is absolutely wrong. Im promoting reality,,,,,and where American HISTORY and its very foundation of values and politics is concered race is very much a REALITY,,, |

Racism is the act of judging a person according to that person's race.
There is a difference between judging a person according to that person's race and describing a person according to that person's race. I will give you an example of judging. I believe that George Zimmerman judged Trayvon Martin according to Martin's race, because I seriously doubt that Zimmerman would have followed Martin if Martin had been white. |

what you describe as racism is only one part of what it is
and the least significant ,, imho what you describe is PERSONAL RACIAL PREJUDICE when we speak of racism, well, when I am addressing racism, I am usually making reference to it in terms of historical trends and modern consequences,,, the prejudice you describe, may or may not hurt anyone, and may be a natural progression of ones experiences and how their mind uses them to protect itself let me give an example a man, who for all his life is told by his mother and all the women who love him (allegedly love him) that he aint nothing(slang intended) he has two choices,,,,his brain will believe it or it wont the NATURAL choice will be for the brain to take it in as reality and BELIEVE IT,,,,and believe this is how women see him the more EVOLVED and more difficult choice , will take much more work to UNLEARN that perceived reality, and believe that it was not true and that women don't see him that way that is the NATURAL prejudice that can occur, for that man,, to believe women see him as nothing,,,,,it doesn't make him WRONG,, it has no moral value at all, it just makes him mistaken about reality now, racism, and all its facets, has some components that are NATURALLY developed based upon the history and trends and experiences,,, it becomes the REALITY that people have to find ways to undo but seeing that racism, doesn't make one racist,, just makes them AWARE and HONEST,,, and understanding the different environments and situations that produce racism and the different ways which it manifests,, is understanding that it cant all just simply be painted away with a moral brush of 'wrongness' |

It is another thing to say or imply that some forms of racism are acceptable. Racists do the latter. |

It is another thing to say or imply that some forms of racism are acceptable. Racists do the latter. its another to pretend all racism is 'the same' and yes, it is more 'acceptable' to me,, for instance for a lady who has been lied and cheated on her whole life by males to believe men are dogs,,, than for a lady that has had a fairly decent life with mostly men that treat her well, to believe that same thing because the former is understandably forming reactions to her PERSONAL EXPERIENCES for PERSONAL PROTECTION (desire to no longer be hurt by man in the ways she has repeatedly experienced) while the latter is just choosing to accept something that her experiences haven't validated in any way,,, for personal ELEVATION (desire to be better than men) so sexism can develop and manifest in many ways, but it is not ALL THE SAME and it is not all 'wrong'(morally), unless it leads to mistreatment or harm of others like any other ISM,, including RACISM |

Historically, racists believe that some forms of racism are acceptable.
By the way, there is difference between something being understandable and something being acceptable. |

Historically, racists believe that some forms of racism are acceptable. By the way, there is difference between something being understandable and something being acceptable. historically racists believed in God too,, racist isn't some absolute definition of the totality of ones perceptions, decisions, or knowledge,,, survival is acceptable and understandable making decisions and taking precautions for survival , are also both, so long as it doesn't call for the physical harm or oppression of others,,, |
