Is it really terrible for birth certificates to document the BIRTH PARENTS of a person entering life,,,? unbelieavable,,,
erase biological mother and biological father so people will treat it with even less significance,, that's a great idea and if you have some medial problem later in life,, why do you need at all to know the biological history of where you come from to review possible history or traits,,,,,crazy,,, as one commenter suggested, to ADD on spouse or parent,, as recogniztion of someones relationship status at the time of giving birth, fine,, to totally eliminate biological mother and father,, AND ONLY consider the adults relationship with someone else uninvolved in creating the LIFE being born,,,, ridiculous,,, http://news.yahoo.com/california-bill-let-birth-certificates-reflect-same-sex-020704798.html |

When a person is adopted, that person's birth certificate doesn't list the person's biological parents.

i feel dna profile should be added to birth certificates the fathers and the mothers and the babies that would be proof positive of the parents and the gov would get their dna data base which may reduce crime and when adopted they can leave names off but keep profile for medical accuracies for future health issues |

actually a great idea adj
I heard that same idea before but with the dna given to the mother with the burden of deciding who she wishes to share it with and providing it when she seeks child support |

then how do they find out who their birth mother is later in life when they have questions? You would probably have to talk to an adoption attorney to find that out. |

I don't agree ... most like knowing who their parents where ... and if adopted thought there was always a law and up to the natural parents to give out their own name ... or they just took the adoptive parents name... they do that for a reason... some natural parents do not want to be found ... DNA these days could passable work put don't believe they kept those kind of record for long in cases really long ago ...
then how do they find out who their birth mother is late rin life when they have questions? some don't ... some have died and some record just not found becouse so old ... they did not have this kind of system long ago ... your a file and who knows how long they have kept it in the court house ... an some hospitals may not even be there anymore ... |
