Ferguson Police Have Body Cameras.... But Don't Wear Them

You read this more and more every day how police either sabotage, turn off, or simply don't wear their cameras. "Trust me! Would I lie?" is not a very good defense for you and I, but it seems to work for the police and politicians!

It seems MRAPs, automatic weapons, and body armor are great to use and charge taxpayers for, but cameras...... not so much!

The motto "Protect and Serve" has become passe', replaced with control, subject and terrorize!

I'm all for preparedness for law enforcement! They have a dangerous job, but serving traffic warrants does NOT require a SWAT team breaking down your door at 4am without knocking, shooting the family pet, and terrorizing your children!

By the same token we provide them with non-lethal weaponry, train them, arm them, and provide them "partners" or rapid response back-up.... so why does it take a side arm rather than a tazer when dealing with unarmed civilians..... does it take longer to pull?

We're told it's bad to have clips with more than 10 rounds.... they're not needed, but yet police in body armor must shoot an unarmed youth 6 times at close range to "stop" him?

I guess it's one way to get an unscheduled, paid vacation.... just shoot an unarmed civilian!

Uh, it was an unarmed 6'4", nearly-300-pound adult who was killed in Ferguson.

And the armed officer was an untrained midget? Your point?

Again it seems some are missing the point of the rise in police shootings over other actions and resources to stop their unarmed victims

My point is that the alleged "youth", as you called him, was the size of an NFL member who plays defense.

Anyway, I agree that something is wrong if a police officer has no other way to stop an unarmed thug.

something to agree upon

I wish I could market clothing with such cameras in them, activated easily and streamed to several different websites live,,,

easier to catch the 'thugs' both the allegedly 'law abiding' and those who have been caught in a crime before

I wonder what would happen if the shop owners shot some of the looters?

not a damn thing,, as long as they cited 'fear' as their justification.

The whole Tasing fad a few years ago was just a way to desensitize the police with using force. Now they don't even use the tasers they just go for their guns. But that's just my opinion.

the officer actually claimed that tasers only work if they contact the skin,, so I guess they carry them only in summer or in case of running into someone nude,,lol
