I just had a guy tell that he was from my hometown for 2 years when he was in the witness protection program. I also got 2 bridge builders . 1 in Africa and the other in Malaysia. Is there any true people on this site?

Yes, there are real people on Mingle2. Welcome to the forums Cal6erc.waving

Unfortunately there are scammers and spammers on the site. Just have to report those you suspect could be either. Then there is also the block option of people that just don't seem to get a hint. Hope this helps you in what you are searching for here.

Seems as though there are ALOT of phony profiles(scammers) on here. I've noticed they seems to have a story in their profile, or they give a name when they email, they write mushy things. The profile says widowed a lot or nothing is filled out. They send me a nudge, and I write something and they come back with a BIG paragraph.

Is it normal for someone to send a message and want to text right away?

Usually means scammer...

But then there are those who are really desperate. There are plenty of real folks in the forums. Good luck, and be careful. Paranoia is sometimes a good thing!
