love is a giving emotion , it is fulfilled through seeking and wanting the best of happiness and health for another

lust is a taking emotion, it is fulfilled through seeking and wanting our own physical gratification,,,,


if you often can and do picture things like their smile, or growing old together, or light up and feel joy spending platonic times together,,,,its a good chance its love

if you mostly picture nothing but how good a kisser they are or when you can next have sex,,,, its probably a good chance its lust

what im thinking is that you are looking for ideas to help you justify something going on in your life.

many if the answers you are receiving are more related to the western world and don't take into account the accepted norms of your culture and/or belief system.
the answer to this and all of the questions you have posted lies within yourself.

how do you know if it's live or lust. love is about wanting the best for someone else, sometimes to the pointvof being self sacrificing.
if I have love for someone and for whatever reason their best interest is not with me. I will step aside and be happy for their happiness.
lust is about satisfying a sexual need and moving on .
